I would suggest that everyone read Romans 5 "Peace & Joy".
Romans 5:3-5, 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character; hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his Love in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
Perseverance- patient endurance of hardship; persisting in a state of enterprise in spite of difficulties and discouragement.
In the future we will become like Christ but now we must overcome our sufferings. Our difficulties in life will only make us grow and through trust in Jesus that he is in control we will be blessed here and have eternal rewards as well. When the scripture says we rejoice in suffering it isn't because we enjoy the pain and public humiliation but because through these experiences God will strengthen are character. Your patience will be tested at times but this is where we rely on our faith and through faith we develop a stonger trust in the grace and mercifulness that is bestowed upon us from the Holy Trinitity. Through these trials and tribulations you will strengthen your persevearance for it will grow and mature and you can rely on righteousness of the spirit of God for your strength.
I couldn't overcome cutting myself. I needed help and psychologist help by giving you someone to talk to and providing you medication to help cope with the condition. The only problem is they don't really know what is going on in your mind. They can only speculate and try to help as best they can. I am not saying they are bad at what they do for they help alot of people but the divine power of Father God, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit are the only one's who can renew your mind. When we turn the problem over to them they know what is going on in your mind and they are perfect in every way.
We have to retrain our minds to think positive thoughts. Just out of curiosity what are alot of you watching, reading, and listening to through music. We need to fill our minds with wholesome material and positive things. If we are listening to music with sinful lyrics, reading fiction stories, or watching horror movies or shows that send the wrong message then these are what are thought patterns will be brainwashed with. We should be careful as possible. We can't be perfect but we can separate ourselves from certain influences that are detrimental to our minds and thoughts.
Love- strong affection, desire, or devotion.
Read and meditate on John 3:16 For God so Loved the world that he sent his one and only son that whoever believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
That's right God loves all of us and he gave us Jesus to die for our sins and then God raised him from the dead to be seated at his right hand. Jesus loves us more then we could ever imagine and he does not show favortism. He loves us all the same, believers and non-believers, we all are equal. The only thing is some don't accept him as savior and that is their choice but he can't help anyone unless they rely on his strength and his Love for them.
Salvation is the first step towards full deliverance from cutting. I can't tell anyone to come to salvation for it is a personal choice but Jesus can cure all your emotional scars and extend his mercy upon your life. Jesus forgives us through his compassionate Love for us as his children. All we have to do is call on him for help, believe in our heart that he is our Lord and Savior, and accept his grace and mercy in our lives.
We all have different gifts according to the grace given us from above and I would focus on those gifts that you know of and share those gifts with loved ones and the world. As Christians we are here to serve his good, pleasing, perfect will and thorugh faith in him as our Lord and Savior he will heal you to. The choice is yours.
Jesus is my new Psychologist and the Bible is now my medication.
John 8:32 And you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.
I know everyone wants to be set free so turn cutting over to Jesus.
