Who are any of those people?
My good sir. Elrond was there the day the strength of men failed.Who are any of those people?
Every ancient day was exactly 12 hours daylight and 12 hours night pre and post fall. If I said I'll meet you at the first hour of the day it would always be just after sunrise (for the context of a day). Likewise if I said I'll meet you at the 11th hour it would always be before sunset. There was no such thing as an ancient second in the context of measuring time, dividing an hour is fractions like half, quarter, eight, etc... But all relative to the length of the hour. You may argue that upon creation there was no such thing as a hour too and 12 was just arbitrary. At the very least, and what Gen 1 shows us, there is a day time and night time which was later broken up into 12 hours but they reflect the same time spans. pre and post fall 12 + 12 is exactly 24 for both.Prior to the Fall, they were both 24.0000000000 hours.

Tolkein? Ugh.My good sir. Elrond was there the day the strength of men failed.
So it was just some metaphor about how vengeful your god got when Eve at a fruit to know what good and evil were. Got it.From AI Overview:
Earendel is the most distant star ever detected, located in the distant "Sunrise Arc" galaxy and visible due to gravitational lensing by a massive galaxy cluster.

Got it.
Somehow I don't think God's Creation, being created by the very hand of God, can come apart. The sticking glue of God is way too strong for any of that nonsense.Metaphor?
I somehow don't think a metaphor is causing all of God's creation to come apart at the seams.
Used by you, yes. You seem to have used it as a metaphor for a place in the Universe that is far away.Metaphor?
How is this distant, gravitationally lensed star "coming apart"?I somehow don't think a metaphor is causing all of God's creation to come apart at the seams.
labels for things we find acceptable and unacceptable in human behavior. And for the record, what do you do to know what good and evil are?
No need to repeat yourself.Do you?

The name meant nothing to me. It didn't sound like the name of a distant star -- not enough numbers in the name. I don't read fanatsy, so I didn't grok the reference from it source. If I did, I might have made the connection to the star named after some middle Earth thing, or maybe I wouldn't. If it had been named "Spock" perhaps I would have remembered reading about the star.Ya, I park my car in mygarmetaphor.
Earendel, which according to you in Post 154, you never heard of, is the best example I can think of to show the extent of Adam's sin.
Certainly not. It is just your theology, AV.It simply affected the entire universe, from Adam himself, to the most distant known star (Earendel) and beyond.
This isn't rocket science.
From alpha to omega was there for the taking and you missed it.This is simply saying sin affected everything from A to Z.
Perhaps you would have preferred a more proximate definition -- morally favored and morally disfavored. But ultimately it comes down to what peoples opinions of those things are.Surely you're not naive enough to think that what some things people find acceptable are just that; and that what some people find unacceptable are just that as well, do you?
So again, if you're going to critique Eve for eating the forbidden fruit so as to ascertain good and evil, how far would you go to ascertain good and evil?
They have the same made up name which rang no bells. I'm probably going to forget it again with in a week of forgetting this conversation.Arguing with someone who doesn't know the different between the farthest known star and J. R. Tolkien?
I don't have total recall of everything I've read. This ultra-distant star (if that's what it is) isn't particularly important to me. Cool? Sure. Relevant? No. A cultural touchstone I should recognize? Probably not. Named after a character from a silly book? Yep.Ya ... repetition may come in handy.
You're trying so hard to appeal to science to vindicate your mindset, you overlooked a scientific discovery.

Thanks. This moment is mostly over as our discussion has run its course. You're one of the better posters here, as far as answering questions as I ask them.
For that, I applaud you; as well as look forward to conversing with you.
You have your moments though.
As do I.
