Yep, people have done some strange things...from lying about various components of their profile (gender, age and such) and/or pretending to be others.

Nothing is sacred these days so I guess I am not that suprised that

Of course, that's a no brainer. But just as an FYI, sometimes, my wife posts with my account because she's not a member yet. But that's NOT an impersonation tho

People do it to gain entry into areas where they could not go...men's or women's restricted areas. Sometimes in debates we have had people create a sock account and impersonate another member, claiming to be them to discredit them in the conversation with the other participants by saying strange and vile things.

Seems there was a member a few weeks ago that had a Christian faith icon, but in posts, he said he was an atheist.

I guess this was to get on Christian only boards. His name escapes me for the moment, but I think he was banned.
