There is a difference between being saved and the Elect.
St. Paul talks about sitting in the judgement seat with Christ to judge men and angels.
You can't sit in the judgement seat and be judged at the same time.

God offers His free gift of Eternal Life to anyone who believes in Jesus for Eternal Life. But God has elected certain believers to special positions.

The "elect" are those who have received His Holy Spirit and do the will of the Father. This is when one is still alive. After death one is either present with the Lord or not. Judgment is on the last day. All the elect are with Jesus Christ of Nazareth where He has provided propitiation to the elect. There is no difference between the elect and the saved. They are one in the same.

Dear 2404,
In this age, Christ is only saving those persons who have been chosen from the foundation of the world. They are the Elect, the first-fruits of Christ's harvest of mankind. Christ is not saving anyone else at this time.

Peter referred to those He wrote to as "elect":

1Pet 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Paul referred to those He wrote to as "elect":

Col 3:12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Even Christ refers to those He is saving in this age as "elect":

Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

To be saved, a person must be given the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit, followed by judgment. After Christ has performed this spiritual work within them, the person will be converted and their elect status confirmed.

This verse applies to the elect:

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Christ calls "many" people to be saints but only a few of them have been chosen from the foundation of the world to become saints.

To call a person to be a saint, Christ will come to them without their asking or permission and give them the Early Rain of the Spirit. Paul's Damascus Road experience is a "type" for when Christ calls a person to be a saint.

With this small measure of the Spirit, the person will confess Jesus as their Lord 100% of the time just as Paul did. Without the Spirit, no one can make this confession.

1Cor 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.

After Christ has called a person to be a saint, they will enter the church as a babe who remains spiritually blind, carnally minded and unconverted. For those who are also chosen (elect), Christ will "come again" to them and pour out the Latter Rain of the Spirit (the baptism), followed by judgement. For those who are called but not chosen, they will remain unconverted until they die. Upon their resurrection, Christ will say to them that He never knew them. They will then be cast into the Lake of Fire (a symbol for judgment) where they will receive their portion with the unbelievers.

The verse below applies to their time of judgment. This is when the Elect reign with Christ and judge the "lost".

Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Before any of the "lost" perish (the penalty of sin), Christ will have mercy upon them and freely give them the Early and Latter Rains of the Spirit. With the Spirit, they will have faith and be "born again" as a child of God. The child of the Devil (who they used to be), will remain under judgment until he perishes. This death satisfies justice. In the end, all mankind will be saved just as scripture proclaims.

Phi 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1Tim 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
