This is the real Nicene creed of 325 A.D. from the Council of Nicea

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father [the only-begotten; that is, of the essence of the Father, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; By whom all things were made [both in heaven and on earth]; Who for us men, and for our salvation, came down and was incarnate and was made man; He suffered, and the third day he rose again, ascended into heaven; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. And in the Holy Ghost. [But those who say: 'There was a time when he was not;' and 'He was not before he was made;' and 'He was made out of nothing,' or 'He is of another substance' or 'essence,' or 'The Son of God is created,' or 'changeable,' or 'alterable'—they are condemned by the holy catholic and apostolic Church.]

The "Nicene Creed" that this Christian web site ascribe to is the one from the Council of Constantinople of 381 A.D. and the one from 381 A.D. is the one that is not supported totally by scripture even though this web site did list scriptural references to each line, but the scriptural references do not all match to support each line in that creed.

There is no scriptural support to worship the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, but there is scriptural reproofs for doing so.

The standard of judgment that is over every believer is to honour the Father by honouring the Son.

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: 23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

That means the moment you stop honouring the Son, you are no longer honouring the Father in worship, in fellowship, nor in prayer.

The Holy Spirit is not mentioned because His job is to glorify Jesus Christ and thus those led by the Spirit of God will be doing the exact same thing.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Those led by the Spirit will not speak of the Holy Spirit to glorify the Holy Spirit, but to glorify Jesus Christ.

Therefore as we testify of the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry & in worship, it is by us agreeing with the Word of the Father & with the Holy Spirit in sharing like-minded testimony in seeking the glory of the Son.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: 27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

What we say in testimony is for the same purpose for what we say as led by the Spirit in worship: it has to be the same as per His Word for our witness to be true even in worship.

John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

This is how our individual witness is true when we testify of the Son as it is backed up by the testimony of the Holy Spirit's in according to His word.

That means when believers are worshipping the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, they are not led by the Word nor the Spirit of God to do that.

The mind of Christ we are to have is to exalt the name of Jesus above every other name which is to the glory of God the Father. That is the "obedience" Paul was talking about in Philippians 2:12 in context.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Now if you think this reproof is not important, then that lack of fear & trembling is the cause of it, meaning no reverential respect to His Word.

Believers need to narrow the way back to the straight gate before the Bridegroom comes because we cannot honour the "Trinity" in worship when God is only honoured & glorified in the Son for by Him is God the Father is glorified which is exactly what the Holy Spirit ( Whom is God ) is leading us to do.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 10:1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.....7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

Believers cannot honour nor glorify the Father in any other way in worship.

How can it be the 'Nicene' Creed (i.e. the Creed created at the council of Nicaea in A.D.325) if it has come from the council of Constantinople in A.D 381? Apparently, the council of Constantinople in A.D. 381 focused much more on the Nature of God and specifically on the Nature of the Incarnation.

There is no scriptural support to worship the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, but there is scriptural reproofs for doing so.

Nonsense. The first and greatest commandment (Mark.12:30) is that we love the LORD our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and since the Holy Spirit is God (Acts.5:3-4) then the first and greatest commandment includes the worship of the Holy Spirit, though not in isolation from either of the other two Persons of the One Tri-Personal Creator, but then, that is equally true of all three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The standard of judgment that is over every believer is to honour the Father by honouring the Son.

The standard of judgment in this case is Mark.12:30 rather than Jn.5:22-23. Jn.5:22-23 is about legitimizing the Incarnation, not whether or not the Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the Trinity is entitled to worship?

The important point is that the commandment (which the Messiah absolutely upholds (Matt.5:17-21)) declares that we are to worship the LORD our God, not just the Father, or the Son or even the Holy Spirit?!

One cannot assume from this that the Holy Spirit is excluded from honour/worship?! That is merely an argument from silence and as such is apalling exegesis. The issue is whether or not the Messiah as a human creature is legitimate? Is he REALLY the human Incarnation of the Divine Creator? The fact that the Father has entrusted all judgment to the Son as Incarnate (i.e. as human) declares that He IS the legitimate human incarnation of the Divine Creator and thus should be honoured accordingly. This is also further ratified by the Messiah's resurrection (Rom.1:4)

The Holy Spirit is not mentioned because His job is to glorify Jesus Christ and thus those led by the Spirit of God will be doing the exact same thing.

No. The Holy Spirit is not mentioned in Jn.5:22-23 because His legitimacy is not at issue here since He (unlike the Son) is not Incarnate. Stop trying to make the Scriptures fit your argument. That's eisegesis not exegesis.

Agreed. But this does not in any way diminish the reality of the Spirit as the Third Person of the Trinity which, by definition, is absolute. The Holy Spirit, as the Third Person of the Trinity, is entitled to as much worship as both the Father and the Son but that worship should not detract us from our worship of the One, True, Tri-Personal God - Father, Son and Spirit (Mk.12:30). If we focus too much on the Spirit whilst ignoring the Father and/or the Son then we are in danger of heresy. Everything must be maintained in its proper perspective.

Therefore as we testify of the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry & in worship, it is by us agreeing with the Word of the Father & with the Holy Spirit in sharing like-minded testimony in seeking the glory of the Son.

No. It is not about glorifying the Son to the exclusion of the Father and the Spirit (1Cor.15:21-28)? There is more to the Divine Creator than just the human Incarnation and if we overemphasize the Messiah then we are guilty of idolatry. The Command is to love the LORD our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength not to love 'Jesus' with all our heart, soul mind and strength.

No-one is disputing this?

That means when believers are worshipping the Holy Spirit with the Father & the Son, they are not led by the Word nor the Spirit of God to do that.

Absolutely not true (Mark.12:30). The Command is to worship the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and if one deliberately excludes the Holy Spirit from such worship then one is practising heresy (Acts.5:3-4).

The mind of Christ we are to have is to exalt the name of Jesus above every other name which is to the glory of God the Father. That is the "obedience" Paul was talking about in Philippians 2:12 in context.

Every other name EXCEPT the Name of YHWH - Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1Cor.15:21-28) since God as Discarnate is greater than the Messiah as His own human Incarnation (Jn.14:28)

10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Phil.2:5-13 is not a reproof. Neither is it declaring that the Messiah takes precedence over absolutely everything including God Himself (1Cor.15:21-28) as you would have us believe?! The Messiah takes precedence over every other finite creature [Yes, the Messiah, existing as Incarnate, is a finite creature] in all Creation but ABSOLUTELY NEVER does the Incarnate Messiah take precedence over YHWH [Father, Son and Holy Spirit] as Divine Creator.

No. This is a complete misunderstanding of what God through John is declaring in his gospel. The issue is whether or not, in comparison with any and all other religious leaders throughout all time and space, the Messiah is the only legitimate way to the One True God (Jn.14:6; Acts.4:12). God is declaring to the unbelieving Jews that both Abraham and Moses are insufficient mediators between God and Men and that the only legitimate mediator is the Messiah (Col.2:5). God is also declaring that both Abraham and Moses knew (know) this to be true and so both pointed the children of Israel to the coming Messiah.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This is being taken out of its proper context here. It is inappropriate to the issue at hand.

Whilst all this is true in its proper context it has nothing to do with the issue of whether nor not the Holy Spirit as the Third Person of the One Tri-Personal Divine Creator is entitled to the same worship as the other Two Persons of the One Tri-Personal Divine Creator (as if the Third Person should or could be separated from the other Two Persons in this or any other context?!)

Believers cannot honour nor glorify the Father in any other way in worship.

Sorry but that is theological nonsense with no Biblical basis whatsoever?
