I was just flipping through the channels and stopped on the SciFi channel just in time to find that Bob Larson is starring in his own version of reality television. The program is called "The Real Excorcist".

If the deliverance ministry of Christians didn't have a bad enough rap already, this character is orchestrating a televised "train wreck".

Why in the world, if this guy is for real, would he want to put something like this out there????

Sad as it is, there are false teachers everywhere. We all know who this man is, like we all new who Todd Bentley was.

The sad things of it all many Christians are gullible and will swallow most of this stuff.

But, people do get healed while attending his stuff, but not for long. It's all witchcraft and we see it all with most Tele whatever you would like to call them. I won't get involved in namecalling, but the "empty deceit and philosophy of this wolrd" is full of deception and seduction, and the "doctrines of demons"

Be blessed in Jesus' Name.

For most t.v. ministries it has become all about money. Have you checked out lately what Mr. Larson charges for an exorcism whether it works or not?

I was told by someone that knows him that he is now charging $5,000+ dollars. I don't know if it he charges that price all the time or not, but it is sickening.

And what is worse is that for more, you can even have breakfast with him as a bonus. His website is very vague and full of things 'for sale'.

So much for 'silver and gold have I none'......Lord have mercy on us! To mock the suffering of others with a reality show is just going too far!

I did go to his site and was wowwed by how much, money was being discussed. I don't think he ever says on there, that he charges X amount of money for an excorcism, but he intimates by saying if this ministry has touched you, please pray about sending a gift of (anywhere from $100 - $5,000).

Do you really think people are truly getting healed during Mr. Larson's shenannigans, or do they "think" themself healed until they leave and find that nothing has changed?

If the whole ministry of deliverance wasn't such a serious matter, this program would be laughable. I mean, he's slapping these people around with his Bible, calling on the dogs of Jezreel to come and eat these demons, and encouraging these participants to yawn, cough, or puke these demons out. He is really hurting an important part of Christianity.

I think the Science Fiction channel is a pretty appropriate place for Bob Larson...

I thought the same thing:thumbsup:

He actually fits in quite well with all of the other craziness that is on there. With tomorrow being Halloween, they are showing a marathon of this tool. I guess he is smart about one thing, he is jumping on the reality television bandwagon to further his bank account.

I thought about doing the same just to see what might happen. I'm glad I didn't.

As a side note, I did call the televangelist, Peter Popoff to get his miracle spring water--out of curiosity. After that was sent, I got all sorts of crazy letters from him. The latest letter that I got, had a piece of cellophane tape with some glittery gold specks that was supposed to bring me great wealth, if I taped my gift of X amount of money with it.

Ug, I had that happen with a well known ministry once. I forget how I got on their mailing list but it was awful the amount of mail I got with these types of shenanigans...more than once a week I would say.

The strangest mailing that I've gotten from this "ministry" as of yet, was a piece of paper with a copy of the imprint of the Shroud of Turin on it. I was instructed to hang the paper on the wall and stare at it until I actually saw the eyes of Jesus open. At that point, I was supposed to be able to ask anything, since I had a personal audience with the Lord. At the end, I was supposed to ask this "Jesus" what amount of money I should send and "He" would tell me what "He" wanted me to send. This sounded WAY too demonic to even keep as a party favor, so I threw it in the trash.

Yeah, I had originally contacted them out of curiosity, but just recently the Popoff ministry sent this to me. He called it a prayer-pack. I have gotten so much "crap" from him over the last few months, it's crazy. This took the cake, though.

This leaves the realm of Christianity and gets into magic. These things are basically rites and incantations, no different from witchcraft.

I really doubted that I would see anything, though I wasn't going to take any chances. He is a noted scam artist, but this had a dark edge to it. If I had did this little "ritual" and these eyes had opened, that would have scared me more than give me any sort of blessing.

It's actually a trick picture...the eyes appear to open when you stare at it long enough.

I used to listen to Larsen's radio program about 14 years ago. It seemed like out of a half hour, he spent the majority asking for money. It was really frustrating to listen too. It was also weird that he did exorcisms over the phone.

I saw Larsen's show on TV last night, and it actually wasn't bad. At least he wasn't asking for money.

For the entertainment value, Larson's program was pretty good. Now, if someone watched his craziness looking for help, I believe that they would find themselves up against a brick wall. When he would use his Bible as a "sword" to stab the demon, or command the demon to go to a place called torment--was actually pretty funny. He sprinkles these Larsonisms in pretty heavily into his excorcisms.
