CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Normally I would, but I dont believe in dwelling on revenge/punishment as a christian, I know its just a movie, but movies put thoughts in your head and your mind interprets the emotions from it. Everything you see, hear, touch has an effect on you.

I think refusing to dwell on punishment takes you away from the scriptures. I mean, we all know the amount of punishment our lord Jesus took in order to save humanity. Punishment and vengance are natural cycles in life and should be considered (as long as these things are considered responsibly and with moderation). Also, I think it is very important that movies such as "The Punisher" and "Kill Bill" are viewed just to keep in touch with the directions our culture is taking. Remember, if we close our doors, we close our hearts as well.

on to the point..the movie was good and actually not that violent.
it had alot more emotions in it explaining WHY the punisher was upset and his shift in charactor from nice family man to angry alchoholic. there are a few fight scenes in the movie and they do get gritty but theres more humor than there is fighting in it imo..there will be a sequel also..

Never got around to seeing it. Sounds like people here liked it though. Maybe I will rent it when it comes out.
