Anyone read Tim Keller?

Keller is solid in most areas but I think some have said he denies the eternity of hell or something similar, can't recall right now.

My wife and I are currently reading his book on marriage. I've listened to the audio book The Reason for God and can't wait to start King's Cross.

I haven't heard him denying the eternity of hell. He has been pretty solid from what I've read of him.

I googled it up, Keller is soft on creation and seems to argue for theistic evolution.

That's true. But he believes in inerrancy and says there is no conflict. I'm not a scientist so I don't know. I don't really think the bible gives exact details. I think the earth is a little older than some say and a little younger than others say. But I do believe there is evidence that central Texas has been continuously inhabited for at least 11,000 years.

Osage, you asked about Keller and I gave you the major criticism leveled against him, that's all. I wasn't trying to discourage you from reading his books, on the contrary, read his books! There is much meat to be had.

The book on marriage is his best.

Not the book but I heard the preaching series and it was very well done. I like Keller I will be getting his Marriage book soon.
