  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

(The younger American generations may not quite understand what I am saying,
as their whole political horizon has been the immediate political "weirdness.")

Biden said that he was going to hand leadership over to the younger generation.
He did not. And all sorts of voters made it clear that they did not want to vote for
a Democratic Party "mummy".

Harris should have appealed to the Moderate Middle in American voters. But
instead, she waved about themes from the far left, that alienated the Moderate
Middle (which she should have been trying to connect with.)

The Republican presidential candidate waved about the surface language of
conservatism, without speaking about specific policies. He openly denied
embracing the 2025 program, which he started to live out when he won the
election. NOW, many Republicans are objecting to the slash and burn policies
of the 2025 program.

BOTH political parties have been naive about their own position, and about the
serious reform that both parties need to carry out.

BOTH POLITICAL PARTIES are ignoring their own need for radical reform.
And, the embracing of real-world policies.

I wish you guys would leave the 2025 program alone. Common sense tells me that the long list of conservative values in the 2025 program will be used because we are conservatives. I like some, and others seem too extreme. No win for any conservative, and liberals will use this talking point till Jesus comes back. Sheesh, the tribal warfare.
