This repudiation of sidewalks cannot stand. But no I don't minimize the hotheads messing with the cops -- there are often a few who justly deserve to cool their heels among what the police described as a "mostly peaceful crowd”

The protests continues to try to be very disruptive. There was also some violence directed to police officers who tried to break up the protest outside of LAX.

I would like to know why its the Jews who keep getting persecuted. Is it a biblical thing, is it because they are Gods people and theres something in the nature of people that they hate Jews because they know they are Gods people.

It can't just be economics or envy as there are nations who are rich and successful who are not attacked like this. I mean if they believe God is not real then the Jews being Gods people should not bother anyone as it wouldn't be real for them to be concerned about. Do they perhaps really believe the Jews are Gods people and that makes them angry.

Its also strange that the people who hate Jews the most are the Muslims who happen to surround Isreal. There seems to be some long held hatred which may stem back to when Islam began and took Jerusalem and happen to build their Holy Mosque on the very place that the Jews build their Temple.

This itself is a strange situation where two religions claim the very same spot as their holy place of worship. But I don't think these two peoples can exist together. So I can understand after many years of Muslims attacking the Jews that they have had enough.

I think this is the beginning of the Jews taking back Isreal and establishing themselves as Gods people with the building of the new Temple and all. Its going to be a worrying time in how all this pans out.

No perhaps not. They want peace though and I think they will be very hestitant to allow Palestinians. They will be needing to screen whoever lives within their borders so whether that means only allowing those proven to not hold extreme views or only allowing certain ones in through checkpoints. BUt that is what has been happening for years and I think the Isreali's are sick of doing that as well.

Another Westbank won't do as it becomes a breading ground for extremists. They are going to have to find another way. That is why I say perhaps the Isreali's will wipe the slate clean and get all Palestians out of West Bank and Hamas out of Gaza. Then they will oversee both and reintegrate the Palestinians based on intel on them.

I would think many Palestians will end up staying but under Isreali control for some time or perhaps under UN peace keeping. I can hear the radicals protesting that Isreal is an apartheid, settler state. But what else are they to do when interwoven with your own population is people who want to wipe you off the face of the earth and blow up your families or support others to do so.

I know if it happened anywhere in the west they would be up in arms. Oh no thats right some progressives actually defend them as victims. Which is more or less another way of supporting extremists.

I definitely think this is part of it. A lot of folks don't believe in God or the Bible and yet still don't like the Jews. The Jews have always been disliked wherever they've lived. The Bible is clear that people who don't believe in Christ are against him. And since Christ came from the Jews and defeated Satan you know Satan hates the Jews even though it was the Jews that demanded Christ's death. It was the demand that brought about Satan's defeat.

Did you realize surveys have been done which show something around 80% plus of Palestinians in the West Bank support killing Jews such as with suicide bombers and wiping out Jewish families and their children. Working with extremist to kill your neighbours.

The problem with the West Bank is that the Palestinians are not within a specific community but scattered throughout mixed with Isreali's. You can't seperate them so there are foxes in the hen house plotting against you.

I don't know about you but I would feel very uncomfortable at having a neighbourhood where there are people scattered throughout wanting to kill your family. Being taught that Jews and WEsterners are scum that need to die. In the West we regularly deport such people as they are a threat to our way of life and don't belong.

I think you have revealed a truth here. Islam is like the alternative to the fullfillment of the old testament that directly opposes Christ as that fullfillment. They claim that Mohummad was the last great prophet that supercedes Christ.

It becomes a fight over who is the fullfillment of the old testament. Thats why their Mosque is directly over the spot where Christ is suppose to have accended into heaven. In fact they copy that by claiming the same spot has an impression of Mohummads foot as he accended into heaven.

Theres definitely an element of good verses evil in all this as seen by how people are so polarized in taking sides as to who is morally right. I have heard the arguements that the Jews are evil and none of the arguements even make sense. If anything speaks more of evil its the willingness to kill innocent women and children in such barbaric ways. Yet some even in the West seem to side with Hamas as though evil is now good and good is now evil.

I have no idea if my neighbors are Jews, but that is irrelevant. Did you read my post carefully. I said "directly involved". I was specifically avoiding this, whatever you want to call it.

Its not something advertised with all the other goings on. But Netanyahu has envoked the bible a few times such likening Hamas to the nation of Amalek who were at war with the ancient Isrealites or Ecclesiastes 3:8 "a time for war and a time for peace".

But I have also seen videos of soldiers coming together and praying and singing to God. I can understand such a deeply religious nation turning to God at this time. It seems that there is this feeling or intuition that this time is a very important time in this issue, its the culmination of everything that has been happening not just in Isreal and Palestine but in the middle east but the world.

Like this is the pivotal point of no going back to the old ways and that a fundemental change needs to happen. But in doing so it also provokes a likewise response to escalate things. Its like at least for the Isreali's and perhaps for many Westerners (Christians) that we are closer to a critical breaking point in our history which will either change things for the better or end in a bloody mess.

Yes thats the Narrative being pushed by the progressives. Sort of selective reporting and we know most of the media has a Left leaning. Just the fact that more media outlets, rights groups and individuals are hyper focusing on the Jews role whatever that is as opposed to 100s of other conflicts that are the same or worse and often involve Muslim killing 10s of 1,000's of Muslims is relatively quiet.

They equate Isreals actions with the same morality as Hamas even though the facts are that
Isreal didn't start this war, Hamas did and have done over and over.
Isreal could have wiped Hamas off the face of the earth but has chosen to risk their own lives in a slow and methodical deconstruction of Hamas.
Isreal gave many warnings ahead of attacks (which waring nations never or rarely do) to allow for the locals to go to safe spaces and safety corridors for the locals to escape.

Hamas stopped their own people going to those safe spaces and corridors, to get medical help and safety even killing those who resisted.
Hamas located their head quarters under a hosiptal where children and innocents are located. They use their own people as a bullet proof vest.
Many claimed to be killed by the Isrealis were actually killed by Hamas whether accidently or on purpose to blame the Isreali's as part of their proporganda to undermine anyone who tries to stop them.

And most important unlike the Isreali's who may have killed innocents as part of a war started by Hamas (war cost lives) Hamas did not give warnings, did not select opposition solders to target but purposely chose innocents mostly women and children with a surprise attack of the utmost brutality and animal like behaviour, no that is a blight on animals. Evil pure evil acts.

Thats not to mention all the other false narratives like Isreal is an apartheid State or which is not the case or that they are don't have any deep historical, religious and cultural tieds going back thousands of years. Nor is to say that Isreal has not engaged in any wrongdoing. Most of the people complaining about the Isrealis have no idea of what the actual facts are because they don't care about the truth.

The Left don't like facts they choose their battles because its not really about who is right but who they percieve as oppressed the most even if that means twisting the truth so that it makes the good look bad and the bad look good. Even if that means attacking their own nation and creating hatred and division.

To say that the acts of the Isreali's is the moral equivelant of Hamas is grossly false and even the mere mention I think shows those who push this rubbish are delusional and unpredictable and undermining our society by creating hatred towards the Jews and others and perhaps a threat to our way of life in the West.

Sorry about the rant but I have studied this issue and I think this issue is a reflection of the state of our own culture more than anything else for which we live in.

Its both, both Palestinians and Isreali's live in the West Bank. In fact Jerusalem the city where Jesus preached, was cruccified and resuurented is part of the West Bank and considered its capital.

So both cultures are existing in the same territory, obviously there would be some natural seperation. But it would be hard to live within the same territory as people who wanted you and your family not to exist. Not a good way to build a safe and happy community.

Thats why either the Isreali's or some independent body oversee things to ensure safety because at the moment because of the threat of possible attacks from radicals and the smuggling of weapons there has to be constant monitoring and checking to ward off attacks.

Israel has been supplying thousands of weapons to the West Bank that are being used by radical Israeli settlers in attacks against Palestinian civilians. This needs to stop.

Illegal Israeli settlers regularly attacking Palestinians, stealing their land and homes, and destroying their means of support is definitely not a way to build a safe and happy community. Evicting these illegal settlers from the West Bank would go a long way toward improving the situation there.
