The Prayer Request Thread...

I know a lot of us spend a fair amount of time here so I thought I'd start a prayer request threads. .

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Matthew 18:18-20
I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Thanks for starting this thread. I would like to ask for prayer for my boyfriend and me. We had actually broken up on Tuesday but we are thinking about giving it another chance. Part of me wants to because I still love him but part of me is saying no because I don't know if things are ever going to change. I guess we could try one last time and then if things don't go well we can cut our losses.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that you are in control of all things and that You love Reilly with a deep and compassionate love. We ask that You would grant her wisdom to know whether to get back together with her boyfriend, or not. We ask that You would help her make decisions that are good and healthy for her. We ask that You would help her to trust You with her future, so that she can make a decision in wisdom and not fear. Thank You, Father. You are so good and merciful to us. You are the one and only true God, and we praise Your name. In Jesus, amen.

I would appreciate prayer too. I had a really rough week at work last week. I could use a break from the stress, but this week may not be much easier.

I do believe that God is leading the way in my life, so my prayer request is that He'd help me to plug into His plans this week. By focusing on God, and not my problems, I know I'll experience His peace. (Philippians 4:8 )

Lord, I pray Your will be done as far as reilly's relationship is concerned. Help them to see You plans and purposes for their lives. Strenghten them weither together or apart and use them for Your glory!

Lord, bless jenster with Your peace that passes all understanding. Fill her with Your joy, which is her strenght. As she is on vacation draw her closer to You and bring her to a higher place in You. Equip her to continue to do Your will and seek Your face in all that she does that her life will be a glorious testimony to this lost and dying world!

Lord as barbaraclark draws near to You draw her closer under Your wings and speak to her heart of Your wisdom and divine plans for her life. May she present her body to You, a living sacrfice, holy and acceptable. And as she renews her mind in Your word, present to her Your perfect will. Cause all past failures to work out for the good that those she comes in contact with will see and hear that You are their only hope.

Lord, Christlike is in need of employment. Lead her to the job You have for her. Give her confidence and boldness in You as she completes applications and goes on interviews. Meet her needs financally. Make a way for her to complete college with good grades and use her degree for Your glory. Cause her to grow spiritually and in wisdom as she spends more time in prayer and study of the word. And may she give You all the glory, honor and thanksgiving.

As I interceed on behalf of my brothers and sisters in Christ, I place all of their request before your throne.Use these situations to now only edifythem Lord but to show them your that your Word and its promises hold true still today. You know the need of everyone here Father and I just pray in the name of Jesus that you answer their prayer in such a way that only YOU will get the glory!

a coworker of mine and her husband could use prayer. She was 5 months pregnant and for whatever reason, the baby died. I don't know the details but the baby's obit was in the paper yesterday as a 'stillborn'. (it's not the same woman I've mentioned before in another thread)

LOrd please be with this couple as they work through the process of grieving for their lost child
help them and restore them

Father we ask for comfort for this couple, who were anticipating the birth of their child. What deep grief and sorrow. Lord, may Your spirit give them peace in the midst of this horrible time. You are the great peace-giver. In Jesus's name, amen.

I'd like to ask for prayer for the Singles Forum (the main room). It's getting argumentative in there again. There's room for discussion and differing points of view, but I sense an animosity creeping back in. It happens from time to time. I'd like to pray for peace there.

Lord God, we lift up all of our brothers and sisters in the Singles Ministry. Thank you that You bring us together in Your name. We pray in the powerful name of Jesus, who died for us all, that Your peace and joy would reign in the hearts and minds of all who post there. We pray against the spirit of quarrelling, contempt and pride. We pray that we might accept opinions that differ from ours without feeling like we need to be proven "right." We pray that we might share our thoughts and be open to having our minds changed. Lord, we all need You. Thanks for listening and for being our Guide. In Jesus' name, amen.
