• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We just got a call that my cousin in Vegas was in a car accident and is on life support and has been for a couple of hours now. She suffered severs head trauma and in all honesty it is not looking good. I know we have a lot of fun here and all but i know there are many people of faith here too and boy does my family need some prayer here. I ask that everyone please help us with a prayer. Her name is Natasha, she is about to be 19 years old. A great person and someone i am very proud of. This is having a very serious affect on our family and i pray that you can all help us with your prayers!

God Bless.

I Love You

I'm sorry to hear that, really, it's sad. Though she is not trully gone, it hurts so much to lose someone, as much as it hurts when someone is going away for a long time.
But it is us who are "away" not her, she has gone home, and we shall come home one day too.

But you will see her again of course, not only in spirit, but in flesh too when the time comes.
Knowing the truths of God makes life SO much easier, I feel sorrow for the poor souls who struggle with their pain without the devine confort.

Thank you so much for posting this here. I had no idea there ever was a forum like this.

While i have to admit i do not stick to my faith as much as i would like i am firm on my believes and do everything within my human ability to live within the standards set for by my faith. As a honest person i will say that i don't always do what i should but to error is human and i know that jesus christ understands my sins and forgives them.

This entire situation has really reset my faith for me. It has brought my closer to the lord. At the same time it is one of the most painful things i have ever had to endure. It's been my experience that the harder it gets the more involved god is.

This ordeal has hit my entire family very hard. My cousing Natasha was loved by the entire family, at the age of 19 had most of her life planned out. she volunteered at hospitals, did very well in school and had many many friends.

The funeral service was held today and i can't even begin to express how great this was. Over 200 people showed up and even stood inline in 105 degree Vegas heat just to pay their respects. My auntie took it very hard and spent most of the day lying against the casket screaming "take me with her god, i have no more reason to live" this hurt us all very deep but we knew it was a part of her mourning process. My auntie is a recent born again. she has just recently become a christian and natasha was as well.

that is where i have my comfort. I know she is with God now. she is with our grand parents and other lost family members watching over us and all i can do is pray for the guidance to make sure i get to join her one die in the eternal light of hevan.

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers.
