Having been raised in a political family I have come to understand that the individual 'voted' to office is not the leader of this Nation. There are individuals that have been in 'office' since Carter, still actively influencing politics and making policy. You cannot believe that this nation completely turns over all control, all national secrets, all power, and authority to a new 'leader' every four years.

This is not a conspiracy thread, just a explanation of true American politics. I intend to demonstrate how political platforms currently, and previously utilised by the Administrative office were produced by individuals that have held key positions in politics for over 40 years. Lets look at one individual.

Zbigniew Brzezinski is a CSIS counselor and trustee and co-chairs the CSIS Advisory Board. He is also a senior research professor of international relations at the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, in Washington, D.C. and a member of the International Advisory Board of the Atlantic Council.

He is a former chairman of the American-Ukrainian Advisory Committee.

He was a member of the Policy Planning Council of the Department of State from 1966 to 1968; chairman of the Humphrey Foreign Policy Task Force in the 1968 presidential campaign; director of the Trilateral Commission from 1973 to 1976; and principal foreign policy adviser to Jimmy Carter in the 1976 presidential campaign.

From 1977 to 1981, Dr. Brzezinski was national security adviser to President Jimmy Carter. In 1981, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his role in the normalization of U.S.-China relations and for his contributions to the human rights and national security policies of the United States.

He was also a member of the President’s Chemical Warfare Commission (1985), the National Security Council–Defense Department Commission on Integrated Long-Term Strategy (1987–1988), and the President’s Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (1987–1989).

In 1988, he was cochairman of the Bush National Security Advisory Task Force, and in 2004, he was cochairman of a Council on Foreign Relations task force that issued the report Iran: Time for a New Approach.

Dr. Brzezinski received a B.A. and M.A. from McGill University (1949, 1950) and Ph.D. from Harvard University (1953).

He was a member of the faculties of Columbia University (1960–1989) and Harvard University (1953–1960).

Dr. Brzezinski holds honorary degrees from Georgetown University, Williams College, Fordham University, College of the Holy Cross, Alliance College, the Catholic University of Lublin, Warsaw University, and Vilnius University. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards. Most recently, Dr. Brzezinski was awarded the de Tocqueville Prize in 2011 for his contributions to the political science field.

His many books include Strategic Vision: America and the Crisis of Global Power (Basic Books, 2012);
America and the World: Conversations on the Future of American Foreign Policy (Basic Books, 2008), coauthored with Brent Scowcroft and David Ignatius;
Second Chance: Three Presidents and the Crisis of American Superpower (Basic Books, 2007);
The Choice: Global Domination or Global Leadership (Basic Books, 2004).

Brzezinski is the creator of the Mujahideen.

In that a 1998 interview , Brzezinski recognized that his policies brought about the Taliban and said it was worth it:

"What is most important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Moslems or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?"

Published on: May 1, 2008. In an interview from Adam Garfinkle ,Brzezinski was quoted:

I would not hesitate to do it again. - The support of the majority of the Afghan people greatly minimizes the threat from Islamist extremists confronting us today. Moreover, the al-Qaeda phenomenon has been much more a Middle Eastern phenomenon than an Afghan one.

What's more is that he even admits having aided Pol Pot who committed a mass genocide of 2,000,000 people.
During his reign as National Security Adviser, Zbigniew Brzezinski played an important role in determining how the U.S. would support the Pol Pot guerrillas. Elizabeth Becker, an expert on Cambodia, recently wrote, "Brzezinski himself claims that he concocted the idea of persuading Thailand to cooperate fully with China in efforts to rebuild the Khmer Rouge....

"I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot. . . . Pol Pot was an abomination. We could never support him but China could."

1997:

the American people, with their democratic instincts, are reluctant to authorize the money and human sacrifices necessary for "imperial mobilization," and this refusal "limits . . . America's . . . capacity for military intimidation." But this impediment could be overcome if there were "a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat"---just as the American people were willing to enter World War II only after the shock effect of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.

"In that context, how America 'manages' Eurasia is critical. A power that dominates Eurasia would control two of the world's three most advanced and economically productive regions. A mere glance at the map also suggests that control over Eurasia would almost automatically entail Africa's subordination, rendering the Western Hemisphere and Oceania (Australia) geopolitically peripheral to the world's central continent. About 75 per cent of the world's people live in Eurasia, and most of the world's physical wealth is there as well, both in its enterprises and underneath its soil. Eurasia accounts for about three-fourths of the world's known energy resources."

Current day:

NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL MEMORANDUM-46. National interest in Africa.
Zbigniew Brzezinski: Cooperation On Iran Deal Boosts U.S.-China Ties "Zbigniew Brzezinski is one of America’s leading strategic thinkers."

“If I could shape foreign policy in its entirety, I would like to create a situation in which we and the Chinese and the Russians were more consciously aware of the shared interests that we have rather than of the disparities,” says Zbigniew Brzezinski, a former national security advisor for Jimmy Carter and a favorite geopolitical strategist among the global chessboard gamers. Known in foreign policy (and conspiracy) circles as “Zbig”, Brzezinski is known for his strategy of keeping Soviet Russia stuck in their own Afghanistan war on the idea that it would help build up U.S. defenses and ultimately put a financial squeeze on Moscow.

America Pivots to Brzezinski’s Delusion of Eurasian Conquest: "We are, and I don't want to sound alarmist but I am alarmed, closer to the actual possibility of war with Russia than we have ever been since the Cuban missile crisis. That's how bad it's been." (Stephen Cohen) Brzezinski stands apart as the inspiration for the Ukraine crisis. His 1997 book The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and its Geostrategic Imperatives lays out the blueprint for how American primacists should feel towards drawing Ukraine away from Russia because, "Without Ukraine, Russia ceases to be a Eurasian empire." To an expert like Stephen Cohen, the Obama administration's indictment of Russia over Ukraine "doesn't correspond to the facts and above all it has no logic." But a look back forty years reveals that a lot of Cold War thinking wasn't fact-based either and it may now be instructive to look for answers to Washington's current dose of illogic in the covert origins of the U.S. supported 1970s war for Afghanistan."

This one individual has had a direct impact from the 60's to current day concerning America's foreign policy. Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and........ That's 56 years and 6 presidents.

This post is Wayyyy too long as it is. I can not possibly shed light on everything he is currently engaged in concerning foreign policy in this first post. But I do hope to raise the question of:

"Why is the current presidential nominee running on said platform?"

I'm going to be completely serious and frank. This is a typed forum, so in order to participate one would be expected to do some reading. And because this is a political forum concerning present day situations I would think someone actually cares about current topics.

I know this is not a popular opinion poll or yet another discussion on political hot topics everybody gets to chime in their own opinion, but do we really want war with russia? Is the destabilisation of an entire continent a good thing? And what about this man? He is admitted many times using mass murders, and CIA funded regimes to topple countries, and lead foreign policy with that regime. And he is still there, right beside Obama. Why is that not important? Why aren't his foreign policies up for debate? He isn't even an elected official, and he has been 'in office' for almost 60 years, influencing 6 presidents. Why isn't that important to American politics?

In bid to counter Putin, Obama seeks to quadruple military spending in Europe - CNNPolitics.com

This man is directly affecting foreign policy by proxy of the president.

Brzezinski: We can’t leave the Middle East entirely because if we leave it entirely, it’s quite possible that the worst elements will prevail. One of the things which our aid to the Mujahedeen, in resisting the Russians, accomplished was that there were many, many more Muslims friendly to the United States as a consequence. And we saw that, for example, in the opposition to the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq, and more generally in the region as a whole.

The entire reason we are there is to bring russia to it's knees by keeping the Ukraine from them. Because "Without Ukraine, Russia ceases to be a Eurasian empire." and if it no longer an empire it can be conquered for its resources. And the Mujahedeen, aka Taliban is his baby. This is all stated and laid out in the OP.

It's really is sad how so many can just ignore these issues. You know... if I had posted some catchy jingle about gay marriage, or some tidbit everyone could just band on on the keyboard to, this post would have blown up. I guess he is right. He will never be caught or stopped because the American people are vastly ignorant.

“We have a large public that is very ignorant about public affairs and very susceptible to simplistic slogans by candidates who appear out of nowhere, have no track record, but mouth appealing slogans”
Zbigniew Brzeziński

“Most Americans are close to total ignorance about the world. They are ignorant. That is an unhealthy condition in a country in which foreign policy has to be endorsed by the people if it is to be pursued. And it makes it much more difficult for any president to pursue an intelligent policy that does justice to the complexity of the world.”
Zbigniew Brzeziński

“[American exceptionalism] is a reaction to the inability of people to understand global complexity or important issues like American energy dependency. Therefore, they search for simplistic sources of comfort and clarity. And the people that they are now selecting to be, so to speak, the spokespersons of their anxieties are, in most cases, stunningly ignorant.”
Zbigniew Brzezińsk

“In the technotronic society the trend would seem to be towards the aggregation of the individual support of millions of uncoordinated citizens, easily within the reach of magnetic and attractive personalities exploiting the latest communications techniques to manipulate emotions and control reason.”
Zbigniew Brzeziński,

Ok... now you can go back to the important stuff like whether or not Obama is muslim, or who is being PC. Not a side topic at all. A very possible nuclear war with Russia isn't that important. Latter.......

Interesting to note:Brzezinski created the Mujahedeen that became ISIS. Hillary even admits this. Kind of funny that it is coming up now even tho I created this thread months ago.

Huh.... maybe I already knew the clintons were involved. Crazy conspiracy theorists. There always wrong!
