  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Popes will be popes, eh? To read so many explanations as to what was said, how it was said, and a lack of Christian contrition because it was said is simply mind boggling.

The real question is, Why was it said? Why did the pope even quote a 14th century writer? When placed into the context of his speech, there was no need for such a quote. Christian in context or content? Hardly! Infallible man? Nope! An infallible man would have seen the complete lack of need to state what the pope stated.

Some people need to read more and protest less. The answer to the Infallability of the Pope has already been addressed.

He shared something that was truth..It's their response to that is where the problem is. History and present actions only prove it. Jesus offended alot when He proclaimed His message ..More are finally ready to speak out..It's the Truth that will set them free..K

So then, Paul is not an apostle, because he is not one of the twelve.

He's not even the one they chose to replace Judas. He's the 13th...

Thats a logical conclusion to your statement. Either the apostles could (and DID) pass on their authority, or they could NOT and All you Prot's who seem to love Paul so very much are following the words of a fallible, non-apostolic man.

Which is it?
Of course Paul was an apostle. AND he received his commission not only from Christ, but from Apostolic succession (at Christ's command).
[BIBLE]Acts 9:10-17[/BIBLE]
The laying on of hands not only cured his blindness, but also confirmed his commission as an apostle.
