Pence can kick things back to the states legislatures when they got two sets of delegates, and have them rule if their elections followed their Constitution and were trustworthy. This is according to the Constitution and a few historical precedents.
This is kind of the perfect middle of the road option that is legal, although controversial, but at least appeases the pro-Trump base of the party etc. even though it will infuriate the liberal end of the country.
Or will he do what our contemporary career politicians always do....
