I'm creating this thread to share a series of poems highlighting some of the qualities and states of mind i believe Jesus instructed us to embody. I pray my poems and pithy sayings bring light into your life.

Why is life so precious?

It's rare -
we look around and see it everywhere
but once we look out and up
it's difficult 2 find.

We've searched millions of stars
thousands of systems
sending signals here & there
and still,
we're all alone.

It's hubris to think we are the only ones,
and yet,
one thing is for certain,
Life is rare and very precious:
So don't waste it.

The mind
like a movie screen
is blank
but for all the stuff we allow to arise within it.

GOD's presence is found in the stillness of the mind -
The Eternal Present Moment: A seemingly unnatural place...

To rest in GOD is to be fully in the present: The Greatest Gift.

I truly
honestly
and totally believe everyone should have

• health
• opportunity
• education
• happiness
• prosperity
• and the means to fulfill themselves to overflowing.

That's what Jesus wants: That's what Christ IS.

Rivers are formed
trails are born
habits arise

from continuous drops of water
treading feet
repeated behaviors.

Every action
thought
word
belief

solidifies
strengthens
and determines who we are

- and with that -​

the consequences of being so...​

1. Letting go of attachments, desires, fears, anger, judgments, ignorance, etc...
2. Uplift, heal, feed, support, nurture, love, remain open, compassion, unify, etc...
3. Listen, trust, believe, know
4. Letting go of self / give all to GOD
   
5. Awakening Christos Within

Oh, i fear
am lost
confused.

Christ please,
calm my emotional sea
still the windy thoughts of my mind:

for i believe -
with you filling my life,
anything is possible.

There are many ways to read scripture. Traditionally we have the literal, metaphorical, numerological, and secretive ways of interpreting the Bible. I have always sought to experience the scriptures in my daily life, finding ways to apply the teachings Jesus shared with us.

For instance, this verse helps me see when i allow the spirit, the divine spark within me to sleep, to be forgotten as i float in this tumultuous world and mind, i lose faith, my emotions overwhelm me, my thoughts push me this way and that. Faith, believing in the teachings of Jesus and constantly recollecting and reflecting on them help me keep my lamp burning (Matthew 25:1-13).

I'm unplugging from social media for a while. Before going I wanted to thank everyone in this forum for the opportunity I've had to share, learn, grow, and get to know some of you. My life has been chaotic lately, so I have decided to go inside myself for a while to find some ground.
