The parable of the 10 Virgins.Matthew 25-13
In life we tend to have our favourite sports teams, music stars, movie shows, and our jobs. When our teams are playing or when it’s time for work we prepare ourselves the night before we set our clothes aside for the next day or we get our tickets and our jerseys out the night before we think about the outcome of our results and we do everything we can to ensure we don’t miss a thing.. we gather others in our family, friends, and work colleagues and encourage them to join us. It isn’t bad to enjoy life’s blessings from God he’s given them to us to enjoy and partake in. But what we have to realise is that being prepared for Jesus second coming is the most important event of all. The same way that we prepare our tickets, our outfits, and our loves ones for a event 3 months in advance is the same way we need to prepare ourselves for Jesus second coming. We as a collective Group Gods children must be prepared for Christ not physically but spiritually. How are some ways we can prepare for jesus second coming? The most important way first and foremost is to offer ourselves to God and declare to him that he is our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through that we are led to repentance of our sins and through the grace of God we are able to walk with Christ to who will help us on our new journey, other ways are through prayer, we prepare ourselves through prayer seeking Gods will, praising God asking for forgiveness and through Worship, seeking Gods guidance in everything we do. We prepare ourselves by putting time aside everyday to dedicate ourselves to The Holy Bible, Gods word. Through Gods word is how we get to know our Lord, when we lean on Gods word we are then able to understand Gods promises that he has given us, which helps us persevere with our faith. We must not get caught off guard I can’t emphasise this enough. Jesus second coming can come at any moment. And if we are not ready then the door to his kingdom will be shut to us. If the Lord comes back and judges us and finds that we have unrepentant hearts, never attempted to have a relationship, and checks and sees that our fruits are of this earth then scripture says we will live a life separate from the Lord due to our free will and commitment to this earth and lack of commitment to Christ Jesus . So let’s enjoy our blessings God has given us but remembering to Give the Glory to God in everything we do. What is life without God in our lives? It’s a illusion that will all soon fade away, but if Christ is in you and you are in Christ not only will we be able to enjoy life’s blessings but we’ll be invited to the biggest celebration ever a ticket to Paradise!
For it is written: The parable of thr 10 virgin’s Matthew 25 1-13 At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgin’s who tool their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.the wise ones however took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out here’s the bridegroom come out to meet him. Then all the virgin’s woke up and trimmed their lamps.the foolish ones said to the wise give us some of your oil our lamps are going put. No they replied there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead go to those who sell and buy some for yourselves. But while they were on their way to buy the oil the bridegroom arrived. Thevirgin’s who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also came. LORD LORD they said open the door for us. But he replied truly I tell you I don’t know you therefore keep watch because you don’t know the day or the hour.
