The order of Easter

So we know from The Bible that Jesus was in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. (Matthew 12:40)

What are your views on which days The Savior was crucified, was buried, and risen again from the grave?

I don't want to sound ignorant here, but is there a legitimate controversy as to what days of the week these were? It seems to me that this is one are where Tradition reflects Scripture fairly accurately (meaning Good Friday to Easter Sunday).

Only one problem: that doesn't add up to three days and three nights. What gives?
