  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey y'all. Been awhile.

Like maybe over a year.

To introduce me: I'm Orthodox and gay, and all that's cool, except in certain circles like the Orthodox congregation group here on christianforums. They might make me remove my Orthodox icon. That would make me sad. But so far, it hasn't happened.

Anyway, nice to see some familiar and some unfamiliar faces.

Am I correct that non-Trinitarian icon people can no longer post in [open] threads?

Whoops! I figured it out. The thread below titled "Anstasis Box Thread," to which I posted two years ago, is no longer open to me since non-Trints don't nicely fit into the Christian box. Perhaps a fellow member or mod can get the thread opened.

This brings to mind a few other questions:
- If you ate pasta and antipasta, would you still be hungry?
- Why are there flotation devices in the seats of planes instead of parachutes?
- If they squeeze olives to get olive oil, how do they get baby oil?

I am thankful that the little unedable packets in shoes come with a warning label. Now if only my 5 yr old, JDK, could read it, lol.
