The Onk

The onk is a distorted looking cross. It is a cross with a loop at the top of it. I have seen many people wearing them around and doodling them out on tabletops and stuff. I do not understand what the onk stands for. What do you all know about this symbol and what is means to those who bear it?

The correct spelling, by the way, is "Ankh."

It is an Egyptian symbol, and it is said to represent physical or eternal life.

I couldn't agree with you more. It is occultic and a way for Satan to cause confusion and blindness to the true cross of Christ.

If my memory serves me correctly, it is discussed by Alexander Hislop in "The Two Babylons" (Rome and Babylon). I believe he maintained it stood for Tamuz, part of the Babylonian godhead. If so, makes you think, doesn't it?

Some say it symbolizeds Tamuz, the eternal son of the Babylonian godess Semarious, the ever virgin Queen of Heaven. She is pictured with a gold ring over her head hold ing the infant Tamuz with a gold ring above his head. The worship of the madonna is far older that Roman Catholic theology,but has adoped the Babylonian culture.
