The One

The gentle breeze in the middle of the night
The quiet whisper-asking if I’m all right
The arms that hold me never let me go
The voice that reassures me that it loves me so

The river that flows into endless streams
The giver of all my peace filled dreams
The hope that guides me when all else is gone
The one that sings to me a beautiful love song

The healer of my broken heart
The glue that stops me falling apart
The sunshine on my cloudy days
The person that follows me through all of my ways

The shoulder I cry on when I feel so low
The Friend that never says "I told you so"
The one I run to when I need to hide
The companion that never leaves my side

The leader when I’ve lost my way
The forgiveness though I turn away
The light that shines when all is dark
The one that hears the cries of my heart

The peace that calms a raging storm
The one that can fix all that is torn
The one that makes my life complete
The shield that protects me from defeat

The smile that is on my face
The one who can take away disgrace
The fire that burns within my soul
The only thing that can make me whole

God is the one who is all this and more
And because of this I will stand in awe
Lord I will praise you forever more
For it is you that I truly adore
