My anonymous hard-core Calvinist critic, the one who made the snarky remark about Lent I’ve written about, didn’t like the line. He quoted it in a tweet and then remarked “how apologists enable abusers and deceivers. imagine if a Protestant said that about not becoming Roman Catholic.”

The majority of people just think about the world. The few who desire to be Saints in action or living, are the ones most back bitten.

We often find people use others as a guide or reference as role models to the faith because they want to see fruits. It's normal. However; they are many who don't wish to be role models of a suitable nature.

This is why we're warned to not harm new fledgling faith. And why priests and clergy are warned as well.
On the flip side, the Lord wants us to seek Him for graces through it all.
