This thread is a waste of time. Sayonara.

Sorry to press you with tough concepts and questions. But unfortunately, blank assertions work no better towards me, verses, say.... a Muslim, for instance, blankly asserting his/her concepts at you ;) You likely reject them and maybe even ultimately give some type of retort, that they are mistaken?.?

Concerning God. You don't know Him.

That's one of the points of this thread. I don't claim to know Him. But [you] do. You claim to know the 'one true God'. And since you do, then you apparently know what He thinks, and can assert as such here. Hence, since I do not get responses from Him, I'm asking [you]. See below...

Assume whatever you will. His
sheep follow Him.

So, I again ask you... Starting with Genesis, was the written intent meant to be literal, figurative, or other? Again, I'm asking [you], because you claim you know Him. The reason I ask, again, is because, out of every answer you have available to provide, you provide a specific verse from Paul, whom states the entire OT is there for the 'correct teaching.' If this is the case, we can settle all matters, pertaining to 'science', right now. 'Easy peasy'... :)

Simple. I believe what God says. His sheep believe Him. Others don't.

So when a Book claims it's from God, you believe it because it says so?

The Holy Quran also states it is given by God too, why is this one false? According to this doctor, He's right...

Can [you] elaborate as to why this opposing version of God is incorrect? Is it because you disagree with it's claimed morals, or the claimed physical events appear not to align with reality, or you see contradiction within it's pages, other? I really would like to know? Maybe you just need to read the Quran more? Maybe you need to have more faith, and open yourself up to Him more?

It doesn't matter what people say. It doesn't matter because I follow Him!

I'm afraid you may want to try again. I'll repeat the statement/question.

YHWH apparently communicated with a handful of fallible humans. He told them to spread the Word. The Word was corrupted, almost immediately. By corrupted, I mean we do not know what was originally written. And furthermore, no one can reach consensus on what the Bible states.

Seems as though God would have been better just to give such instruction Himself, to each individual human? You know, like the OP video suggests...

There are only 24 hours in each person's day. When I want to talk to atheists, I can call several of my relatives. And I do. This is my last post to this thread.

So basically, you want to come here and produce blank assertions. Got it :) As a reminder, this is the thread you have chosen to embark upon. No one forced you to come here (i.e.)

"Christian Apologetics

A forum for non-Christians to challenge the Christian faith, and for Christians to defend their faith."

Now I've had some time to watch the video.
It says why does God rely on humans to spread the Gospel?
God simply wants to do it that way. Man messes up, it seems, and we have 3000 different churches everywhere. But still, the message is getting preached.
Although God uses preachers... Romans 1:19 says God can be seen in nature already, as the video points out.
However, Romans 10:14 says if there's noone to teach the word... there can't be faith. This is my understanding of that verse, in lights of Acts 8:31.
At this point, the four gentlemen in the video start laughing implying there might be a contradiction.

Since this is one of your first doubts, let me answer to this from my perspective.

Romans 10:14 doesn't present a contradiction to Romans 1:19. The latter verse merely says God can be seen in nature.
I would conclude, you can somehow "catch" God in nature even while you don't have faith.
In my opinion, you can somehow feel God and still be 100% caught in doubts.

This is how I would reconcile this.

I feel post #22 addresses much of your response. I will divide this response into manageable points/questions:

1. God's form of communication, to His people, is to allow for humans, and humans alone, to basically regurgitate His messages. We now have virtually countless denominations. Why? Because humans apparently 'mucked it up.' Many of these denominations irreconcilably disagree with one another, on both 'small' and 'large' topic matters. You belong to one of them. Which means there are likely Christians, reading [your] post now or later, whom disagree with much of your post.

2, The old saying goes.... 'If you want something done right, do it yourself.' God does not bother to communicate Himself. He reveals His message to one region, and hopes for proper message delivery. But somehow, all-the-while, knows it will fail. (i.e.) your belief, verses the beliefs of your Christian neighbors :)

3, By the time you received the 'news', it was likely altered, re-translated, augmented, deleted from, added to, etc...

That's how it was.
But somehow, all-the-while, knows it will fail.
It's my belief that the Bible is getting passed on and on... even if there are differences between the denominations.
It's also my belief that the Bible stays intact after having been passed on.

Sounds like, to me anyways, that in regards to the Bible, your standards appear pretty low. If you addressed my points, in their entirety, I can hardly see how you can say this...?
