one thing I do not like about the olympics is what nbc is doing to it. I know it's an impossibility for them to show every match, every sport live, but there surely is something being played, so why are they showing a replay of an earlier event?

I didn't get that impression from the opening ceremony at all.

I got a country that was proud of its past and confident as the multi-cultural nation it is today...

I liked the womens' epee final today in fencing. A nearly 6 foot German with an amazing reach against a 5'6 Ukrainian who was crazy quick. Two totally different styles. A long match too...very even even with the differences.

My problem now is that we have Olympics stuff on 3 channels that I can watch - never mind the other pay-to-view channels.

I can't keep channel changing - and I do have other things to do as well
