Generations after the Apostles, early church-leaders became divided, as to whether to believe that Mary was an honest and loving wife to her husband, including everything in a traditional Jewish marriage agreement (written or oral), or not. I'll suggest that many were attached to the old Roman virginity cult, and allowed their attachment to dominate them. After a while, the sworn vows add up... Anyone have a reason to disagree, which does not refer to words from men who are not God, which does not glorify men who are not God?

You make this claim out of thin air, with absolutely nothing to back it up. No historical references showing how you believe Christians copied aspects of the Vestal Virgins which you probably know nothing about, just something you had heard about and decided it was the same thing. Plus you continue to double down on your "sworn vows" nonsense. You've gone quiet on your other thread, so I guess we shouldn't expect to see any retraction or admission that you might be wrong over there.

To believe that we would have to believe that at least Jesus and Paul were "were attached to the old Roman virginity cult, and allowed their attachment to dominate them". Jesus himself was unmarried in keeping with the tradition of the Essenes. Paul continued in celibacy and encouraged other to do the same.

Well, ... they too were obviously members of the old Roman virginity cult. Yup!

And yet it is Christ the Lord who spoke of those who are eunuchs for the kingdom. Many, including St. Paul the Apostle himself, devoted themselves to a life of chastity.

We have no way of knowing what, if anything, happened in the Blessed Virgin Theotokos' and St. Joseph's bedchamber. And frankly, it's none of our business.

But it makes for a compelling conspiracy theory if you want to attack traditional Christian practices.
