Kate and Sawyer ending up together makes more sense to me now than it did last season. Neither have much to return to, so they have to depend on each other. We kind of knew that before, but I don't think Kate fully realized it until last night's episode.

i agree and i think sawyer is one of the oceanic 6 and the person Kate needs to go home to when she meets jack at the airfield...we know she didnt end up with Jack..so it wouldnt make sense for her not to end up with sawyer either..

I always thought of Jack/Kate as the fantasy and Sawyer/Kate as the reality. Most little girls have a fantasy of marrying a nice doctor. I would say that this is especially true for Kate since she was raised in an abusive home and would want something much better. However, we already know that the "damsel in distress" thing doesn't work on LOST because of Jack's failed marriage. Real life doesn't work like that.

Kate doesn't need someone to save her. She only needs someone to understand her. IMO, Sawyer fits that perfectly. They've both been on the run. They've both killed people. They know about abuse and mistreatment. They can help each other.

Wow... That came out kinda long... Oh well, tis the life of a shipper...
