I would like to hear about any of you who love to do boating, sailing, surfing, diving, snorkeling, or anything at all to with the water... our family used to go boating every week-end during the spring, summer & fall when I was little. We used to go to the boat races at a nearby lake every year.

I am interested in sailing the ocean most of all. But I'll be interested in the rest of this as well. ;)

ok. because I live between mountains and there is no ocean as far as I can see... it's not easy to get my yearning becalmed.

I love diving. took my frist lessons in hawaii and continued in the red sea. gorgeous! I love surfing (done some windsurfing when I was a kid) but I'd love to ride the waves in the pacific ocean one day.

There is only one little problem. On small boats and on windy days, I get seasick *thisissoembarassing* . This problem started only 3 years ago, but it's simply annoying. and I tell you what, if it doesn't kill me, it only makes me stronger  ;) no really, I hope one day I'll get over it! :prayer:

They do make over-the-counter medicine for seasickness and carsickness here, and it really works. You may want to check that out where you are.

I love the water; if I could I would be a merman and swim all day. I love to snorkel and scuba dive. The under water world is so fascinating. It is all so much fun going to the beach with your friends and just hanging out by the water.

Good memories.

I live about 2 miles east of Lake Michigan. It is really weird living here because it's like an ocean - but not really. It is a HUGE expanse of water that you can't see the other side of and it affects our weather drastically sometimes especially in the winter. If you have a chance to get out this way, you must see this awesome lake. I take my family there to swim but be sure to watch for the rip-tide current warnings. The waves in our lake can get over 10' making for some nasty rip-currents.

And dunes...We have a few of those here - some over 200 - 300' high.
