The OBOB Fellowship

The Catholic forum on this website is lively. As I cruise CF I notice that room is always full, they have 2 subforums, 1 is dedicated to studying thier doctrine the other to prayer in which they pray together.

The OBOB discussions vary widley compared to most protestants forums, which stick to doctrine (usually). By golly they even ask about you when you go missing for awhile. I've even heard about groups of them meeting each other to form stronger bonds.

I post this mainly cuz I think we could learn something from them about fellowship. That there is more than just doctrine that that holds us together, we are the body of Christ, and if you are a Christian then your my family. I love ya guys.

Catholicism doesn't lend itself to differences of opinion. You either agree with all Cahtolic doctrine or you are a heretic and tossed out of the forum. I have been coming to Cf for several years and I can tell you that even 6 months ago, the OBOB forum was filled with anger, attacks and hostility and the discussions were mostly about why protestants are wrong. They successfully chased out everyone who disagreed with them, leaving only those who are 100% behind Catholic doctrine, so they ought to get along better now.

Even in P/R/E my friend, when we were all bunched together it was like that. Ive been on this board for a long time now and took notice a while back.

Reformationist has been on today.

There is a member list all you have to do is lookup up the person's name to see when they were last on and what their last 100 posts were.

Perhaps it's because quite a few of the boards here are new. Regardless, I'd like to return props by saying that the average Baptists' knowledge of the Sacred Scripture is quite impressive. I live in Texas, where there are a lot of Baptists, and they're usually pretty nice and friendly. No haters here.

Heavenly Father, I pray tonight that you would encourage the members of CF. I ask you Lord that you would place on thier hearts fellowship amongst ourselves. Father help us build a close relationship that when we enter this website that we can glorify you - when we discuss various doctrine Lord, we know there are differences of opinion. Help us speak lovingly as to not offend anyone, Catholic or Protestant. As unbelievers surf these boards to we ask for thier salvation - let them see in us not bickering saints but brothers and sisters united in Love. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Yep, we have lots of baptists here in Oklahoma, they often have a great enthusiasm for the Lord

Before i went to a baptist church i had always heard they were a bit arrogant, kept me out of the baptist congregation for awhile until one day i went. Totally dispelled my pre-conception.
