  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, who has seen this movie? I was tricked into going to go see it last night, and by the time it was over I was glad that I did. Aside from some sexual content(no nudity though) I think it was a beautiful movie(and I usually hate the typical lovestory-type movies). I don't want to ruin anything for those who haven't seen it yet so I won't go into details. But "Life is Beautiful" with Roberto Benigni is my #1 movie, and the #2 spot is a toss up between The Notebook and Mel Brook's History of the World Part 1 ;)

I loved it! I took my daughter to it when it first came out, and when we were flying back from Washington state in Oct, that was the movie on the plane. Then, my husband watched it. Its a chick flick, I've not seen Life is Beautiful, so will need to look for that one.
