Indeed.

Even a blind man could agree with what you state above.

I saw that excuse just yesterday in a thread posted in the News & Current Events forum.

And a few days ago, a protestant right here in this forum declared that Catholics weren't Christians. So... her statement is moot.

A protestant 'singular' as an individual. Just as someone in your family being a rapist, does not make you a rapist.

Do you believe wrongly?

Do you? And how do you know you're right in your personal theology and beliefs? I know... I know... because scripture says so. Funny how other Christians who are probably deemed not to be Christians use the same exact reason as you do. Round and round we go, where we stop, nobody knows...

Some Christians use the tactic (claiming someone isn't a true Christian). IMO, it is a primitive defense mechanism, certain people are motivated to utilize, to protect their own belief.

Is trying to discredit someones belief a primitive defense mechanism? if so, surely that is true for both.

Yes, you need two humans to have a disagreement.
The fact is, it is humans who developed the theology, humans have disagreement over.

Disagreements, debates, and church splitting fights over either scripture interpretation, doctrines, dogmas, rituals, rules, or even over building a new church building.

This is a non sequitur. You took my statement out of context.

Those institutions are made up of 'individuals' who align with it. That's reality. I'll refer you back to the vegetables.
'Individuals' - interesting you put that word in quotes. However, the institutions exist before the individuals flock to it. So you don't believe that churches are instituted by God?

Depends on the behaviors exhibited by each individual.

Defense mechanism come in handy for all of us from time to time. In some, they rely heavily on the same to protect something at all costs.

I felt the need to since the point is not getting across. Individuals align with an institution, just the same as with a charity. Does a charity miraculously appear, or is it used for a certain cause?
