  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't usually visit this forum much these days. Several years ago, I would argue and argue with TE's. Some who are here may remember me, some may not. No worries if you don't or wish you didn't. :)

There is a lot of insults going back and forth, which is rather sad since we are all suppose to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So, I thought to myself, what do we like about each other? I mean, what do TE's like about YEC's and what do YEC's like about TE's? Seriously, what you do you like about each other?

I've heard enough about what you don't like.

I'll start. I love that TE's love Jesus.

Your turn.

I believe that in the grand scheme of things, God doesn't really care what our origins view is. He cares that we give Him credit. This doesn't mean that the topic isn't important to talk about, but it does mean that it's unimportant to our salvation.

We have a strong connection - and a stronger unity - through Christ than through any earthly bond. As such, I will support and cherish my YEC brothers and sisters in a way that I will not for agnostic/atheist evolutionists.

This doesn't mean I won't tell you that you are wrong, though. :)
