Oh nooo....the conservatives are rewriting history again? Here's the claim of this opinion/propaganda piece... You know what would make this opinion obviously wrong? If he completely contradicts himself immediately.. Oh...so the conservatives are stopping teachers from teaching obscure racial topics that even the teachers don't understand. Uhhh...is this guy against false historical narratives or not? The 1619 Project has more in common with the Lost Cause than anything Conservatives are doing. They're both false historical narratives invented to cater to a racial narrative pushed by a political agenda. It's not really highly unusual for a university to decide that factual evidence is more important than pushing a blatantly false political agenda masquerading as history. It is unusual for a supposedly respected news source, like the NYT, to decide to praise itself for selling obviously false historical narratives. Why would anyone regard them as anything other than propaganda now? The NYT pretended to be historians...then went back to pretending to be journalists when their fake history got rejected. The only thing remarkable is that they thought this indoctrination would either go unnoticed or accepted. The reaction here is the inevitable bursting of their ideological bubble. They should try going back to reporting news. Is this actually coming from conservative legislators or concerned parents who don't want their children indoctrinated into blatantly false political narratives? I guess if this were a real news article....that might have been explored a bit. It's not though, it's just left wing propaganda.
