I do not know much about theology, but you can pull the trigger for a year. $50/yr is pretty cheap.

If you want free theology journals that are digital instead of print, St. Joseph's Seminary & College in Yonkers, New York, has open-access Catholic journals ($0/month):

Here are some other free Catholic journals:
Journal of Moral Theology: About | Journal of Moral Theology
University of St. Mary of The Lake: USML Feehan Memorial Library: Open Access eJournals: OPEN ACCESS eJOURNALS

Woo Hoo! thanks.
You are welcome. I am thinking about downloading some of the theological journals from St. Joseph's University for the artificial intelligence to analyze, but, right now, it is in the process of consuming 22 million words of the United States Code plus a few million words of law books (cos if anyone on the forum asks stuff related to laws in the US, the AI could help them), so I do not want to feed the AI anything else for a few days.

So, are you going to get the subscription to the New Ressourcement, or first try out the open-access theological journals? I'd say, go for both.

I will think about it another few days while I check out the links. I would expect it to be pretty conservative, Maybe I need that after going Process. & Protestant and all.

Yeah, Robert Barron is more conservative from what I have heard, while the open-access (free) university journals might be a bit more liberal, or even centrist. Check some reviews for Robert Barron's stuff.

@Akita Suggagaki , do you like what Robert Barron has to say, or are you not going to pull the trigger on The New Ressourcement?
I may need it for balance. Still undecided. I am waiting for an opinion from theology professor I kind of know.

What can I say? I am pretty tight in that range of expense.

Yeah, $50 is a bit expensive. Tell the forum what your theology professor friend said. Religious balance is important, my friend.

I noticed Matthew Levering is the general editor. This looks good.

I wish you luck, and that you use discernment. Tell me your decision tomorrow. :)
I might buy a new shop vac instead.....or just do both.

Just pulled the trigger. First issue in early September. I could not resist articles about Heidegger and Kierkegaardian Abyss .

Hopefully this new one serves you well. :) Vacuuming chores must suck sometimes.
I am trying to reclaim my garage from ants, spiders and wasps.

I am looking forward to this new periodical. I just Finished A Layman's Guide to Protestant Theology. I reviewed Pascendi Dominici Gregis, Pope Pius X response to Modernists. And now I am on to Handbook of Denominations in the United States. I want to have a better grasp of the current theological landscape so when it comes to issues like social justice, liturgy, politics and social ethics I can situate responses and know better where they are coming from. BTW here is an awesome resource for visual people like me.

You might want to get some biodegradable pesticides, my brother.

Theology is complicated stuff, and is probably the reason why I downloaded some open-access theology books from several denominations onto my computer for artificial intelligence to decipher, cos sometimes it is nice to talk with the book, as if it were a person. Thanks for the link to the chart.
