Well, this should be interesting. I'll wait and see what happens, but I'm not so sure I'm keen on the idea that all the various rooms are now open. I think having sections closed off was actually a good thing and kept the place from turning into a free for all. At least you know you had a place to go to feel 'safe'.

We'll see what happens. If it gets too crazy, well, I'll be looking for another christian site to join. I hope I don't have to though, because I like you guys and would miss the fellowship terribly.

Very true. I suspect that all of the denominational rooms will become more like the Baptist room where all that actually takes place is argument for the sake of argument. I suppose that if your intent is to hone your debating skills and win arguments it will turn out to be fun. For me it has become pointless. I also suspect that rather than uniting folks it will turn out to tear them apart. Welcome General Theology all over the site.

I went there but do not conform to the rules to register. While there are many things in the confessions that I do agree with I disagree with some things in them and will not bind myself by them. I will, therefore, only be a lurker there. I have no problem with their rules but I just don't meet their standards. May God bless you and all His people with His bountiful mercy and grace in Christ. I would say that you just write down what you believe and let the mods decide. They are pretty sensible I mean, they let JM on it .

I may have been too hasty, from additional statements made by Erwin it seems as if we will be able to set our own forum rules and be in effect self-moderating.

Yes Erwin HAS left his theology at the door dear heart. He is going directly against Scripture. This is not to be trusted and no "good" will come of it in the long run. He has removed the lines. What illusion we had of trust or safety when talking to "fellow Christians" is gone. Our mouths have been taped, our hands tied, and the wolves given the keys.

Christian Forums has just become World Forums. I'm sorry but those are the facts.

On the bright side this is a microcosm of Christian life across the world right now. Persecution oddly seems to be good for us and I'm taking a wild guess that there is going to be a bit of that here.

Couldn't agree more with your post, with the exception that Erwin's theology is now self-evident - 'leaving it at the door' is just a symptom.

What's the regulative requirement for the forum? I point out the registration form doesn't show any requirement for signing up to a council, a conservative viewpoint, or what. I'm interested.

The registration form does not but they are posted. Athanasian Creed and rules are there.
