I don’t recall the specifics and have lost the original source so I can’t say.I'm guessing this was in relation to several of the trolls-gone-wrong perpetuated on 4chan. Q-anon, CP Wednesdays, ForeverAlone...one of those?
Applejack is the best, but yes, as an Air Force member, I definitely see the preference for Rainbow Dash.I prefer Pinkie Pie. But I can see where a military guy would go for Rainbow Dash.
I have to respectfully disagree with your comment. A lot of people enjoy My Little Pony (MLP) because of its strong storytelling, character development, positive messages, and inclusive community. The show promotes values like kindness, friendship, and acceptance, which resonate with people of all ages—not just kids. There's also a lot of creativity in the fanbase, from art and music to conventions and games. I love the show and the fandom.I am convinced the whole bronie sub-culture is an elaborate troll that got out of hand when it got picked up by several people who have autism.
As a longtime member of the online autism community I can see MLP being a standout special interest like Star Trek is.I have to respectfully disagree with your comment. As for the autism comment, I want to point out that it's not only incorrect but also incredibly disrespectful. Suggesting that liking a show like MLP is somehow tied to a negative stereotype about autism is harmful and perpetuates stigma. People with autism, like anyone else, have a wide range of interests and should never be reduced to a punchline. We should all aim to speak more respectfully and inclusively. Austistic people are clever and there are lots of smart celebrities with it.
Everyone’s allowed their opinion, but let’s keep the conversation kind and thoughtful.

I don't know if it weakens our military. If this guy came at me with an AR, I would surrender immediately!
The merits or demerits of the show aren't relevant to the origin of the community. And simply mentioning that there appears to be a special kinship between bronies and ASD is not "negative stereotype(s) about autism" anymore than mentioning that Sonic is popular with individuals with ASD is or any other fandom that tends to attract a disproportionate amount of interest. Any negativity was on your end, I was simply stating what I have observed.I have to respectfully disagree with your comment.
