I think it's a form of acting out. They can't deal with what's really bothering them...so they hurt those who will not hurt them back. (Everytime my ex-husband used to get mad at me...he would throw his work boots at my cat. Doesn't it make you sick? It makes me angry sick.)

Why do men (seem to) hate cats?

*Grins* Possibly because cats aren't as submissive as dogs, and that independence irritates the heck out of them?? *Laughs*

Well Worddancer...eventually the cat didn't satisfy his frustration level...And that is why he's my ex-husband.

When I was a girl I had a cat that would have a litter of kittens every year. (loved that cat) She usually had 5. So, I'll have to say 6.
