  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The need to wait on God is very vital. When we have a calling which we know of, it is easy to focus on it and forget the things in the here and now. Remember Joseph? He spoke to his brothers and they were very against the idea that he had such an amazing future. I wonder if he would have spoken to them of their futures if they would have been easier on him and just been in awe when God did His work in joseph.

The fleshly minded are bound to persecute the spiritually minded , for they are strifeful and envious in nature , and God obviously blesses the spiritually minded over and above the fleshly minded .
Going thru that right now. They can't see what God is doing inwardly and that God is preparing me for the dream He has giving me,so I have towait on God's perfect timing. So they reproach you for your faith in what they cannot see

He gives to each of us the measure of faith we need just where we are. Then He grows us in faith. You know it's gotta tick off the adversary when he notices the growth of the body!

We war during these times of growth! Internally and externally, but we should approach that war well armed for the prayer of victory. The war is not ours, it is the Lord, and that war is a spiritual war that will draw us closer and closer to God. May we all learn to pray at all times (with full armor on), in all places, and then listen for His guidance, for it is true.

In Christ,

Because God says to.
Isaiah 40:29-31 (KJV) 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

I find powerful Words from God about waiting in this chapter of Isaiah. There clearly is an unusual, yes even supranatural, strength that results from waiting on the Lord. Sometimes, that is our part: to have patience and wait. Then, He will do amazing things when we have waited.

You know, we can at times have such a zealious desire to serve God that we neglect times of rest. Not even the prophets God chose were ALWAYS going out to prophecy to kings! God gives times of rest to us. I for one have a call to pastor. I have a huge desire and at times I feel rushed to fullfill that calling. But I am finding that if I continue to set my mind on this then my strength gets low. So I find if I allow God to have His time and I relax and just take it step by step then I renew my strength!

It's whose we are, not what we do, that defines us. We are called to be partakers of His nature, and that obviously take waiting on God (and walking spiritually), for that doesn't come from our natural or carnal experiences

2 Peter 1:2-4 (KJV) 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

You know...waiting is also part of the nature of God. It is interesting how God waits to do some things He said He would. Like right now He waits to return. It is good to know that God knows when to time things just right.

God tells us to wait in
Order that we may wait
In His best time and interest!

Psalms 27:13-14 (KJV) 13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Psalms 37:7-9 (KJV) 7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

I now understand the need for patience in the Lord and his timing. At least for me...

At first I wanted so bad to serve my Lord, but had no clue what he wanted of me. So I prayed, but I would have to patiently wait...in fact I waited probably like ten years... However the Lord did not leave me without hope in that time. He sent someone to me at a conference, and she said to me, the Lord has heard your prayers.

A lot of changes happened in my life during the wait. Including an amazing transformation in the Lord. And I was directed to the knowledge that the disciples didnt just run right out and start their ministry, no it took time and teaching from their Lord. And I too needed that time to be taught by my Lord...

This is where I am at right now... still waiting because of my teaching time, but I also know it takes time for a strong tree that produces much fruit to grow. You cannot rush these things.

The Lord again has left me with hope, much like he did with Joseph, whom you brought up. The Lord gave me vision/dreams for my life. Showing me what he is going to do. This gives to me much faith and trust in the Lord, knowing he has not left me and he is faithful to those who seek him.

I dont exactly know what the Lord has planned, you know...what I will be when I grow up if you will, lol. See I dont exactly understand all the titles, or what they all do, so I cant say. Even if I did, probably still wouldnt know. Perhaps it is just enough to know we are doing what the Lord asks of us.

Which can be as simple as following him and serving him.

My personal favorite scripture: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

And from his daddy: Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

God Bless

God wants us indeed to be of
Good heart and courage
No matter what happens
He knows what He is doing
As long as we give Him that chance!
