This is where you are wrong, I live overlooking the coast, I've watched boats disappear on the horizon and have bought them back into focus by using my binoculars. You should try it sometime.

I am in possession of binoculars and a telescope. I have been able to see clearly that passenger liners and cargo ships slowly disappear from the bottom up as they pass beyond the horizon before completely disappearing from view. With the telescope I am zoomed in such that the ship fills the view prior to disappearing over the horizon, so no amount of zooming in will make it reappear.

Your claim that ships reappear when you zoom in is paramount to calling me a liar or deluded is it not? I may be blunt and undiplomatic in my response but we are essentially saying the same thing are we not?

I didn't pay much attention to the earlier part of the video, it's obvious there is significant refraction going on, causing the boat to appear above the horizon with a mirror mirage of the boat hull beneath, but at the end of the video the hull of the boat was completely obscured by the horizon with only the mast of the ship visible, so it proves the earth's curvature.
Nice own goal.

All he had to do was find a viewing position a little bit higher than the waves and it would have removed them from the equation. Nothingburger.
