Three construction workers walk into a shop and buy a $30 radio , they fork out $10 each buy the radio and leave.
Now the shop owner realizing that he had over charged them by $5 as the radio was on special for $25 calls his son and tells him to give this $5 back to those men.

As the boy catches up to the men he thinks to himself $5 is gonna be to hard to split among three men so he keeps $2 for himself and gives the men back a dollar each.

The three men have now paid only $9 each for the radio which adds up to $27 , and we also add the $2 the boy kept which now brings us to $29.

Where did the other dollar go....or where is the missing dollar ?

It’s not missing, the workers paid out $27 for a 25 buck radio. That only leaves two bucks spare.

I have heard this same thing, except it was pizza.

Three guys want a pizza.
They each chipped in $10 for a $30 pizza.
They discover they were overcharged $5.
The waitress wants to refund them the $5 but cannot split that three ways.
So they agree to give each guy $1, and the waitress gets $2 as a tip.
So, each guy paid $9, and the waitress got a $2 tip. Adding up to 9 + 9 + 9 + 2 = $29.
As you say... where is the other dollar???:help:

Thanks for sharing.

It's the order of operations. They paid thirty, the shop owner gave $5 back, $3 to the customers and $2 to his son.
