To design planet earth and her moon would take some thinking!
Earth’s orbit around the sun – 365 days
Moons orbit around the earth – 13.37 times
Moons rotation on its axis 13.37
*** Why we always see the same side of the moon
Moon farthest from earth – 252,088 miles
Moon closest to earth – 225,623 miles
Earth would be a very different world if it had no Moon. The Moon's gravity keeps our planet from wobbling on its axis too much, which helps to stabilize our climate. The Moon also plays an important role in creating Earth's ocean tides. The Moon takes about one month to orbit Earth (27.3 days to complete a revolution, but 29.5 days to change from new moon to new moon). - Top Moon Questions - NASA Science

Where does the mind come into play in this?
I wondered that, too. I had thought from the thread title that this was going to be about the imagined connection of the moon with madness, as exemplified by the word "lunatic."

Plus, the moon is awesome for Wolves as it gives them a chance to practice their howling technique!

There is nothing special about these numbers

Because the Moon is tidially locked to the Earth. This is very common for smaller bodies orbiting close to the larger body.

This video is quite deceptive. The "loops" in the Moon's orbit are false, the orbit of the Moon does not cross itself. The radius of the lunar orbit is about 1/400 the radius of the Earth's orbit about the Sun. The real deviation of the Moon from the line of travel about the Earth is of the same size or smaller than the width of the line used to draw the Earth orbital path. The Moon doesn't complete an integer number of orbits per year, so the path doesn't repeat as the video suggests. If it did calendars based on a lunar cycle would alight with the solar calendar and holidays tied to lunar calendar like the various Jewish and Islamic ones plus the Chinese New Year would not move so much on our calendar.
