This has nothing to do with my acceptance of "the strange and unusual". This has everything to do with your inability to understand how continental drift and plate tectonics have major consequences. If Africa is moving north at the speed you claim there would be massive earthquakes, new mountain ranges, changes to coast lines, differences in climate etc. But all you claim is a slight change to a map.I understand your reluctance to accept the strange and unusual
That doesn't really explain how old maps change without changing. In other words former names of countries, cities, towns and political boarders have changed quite a lot on maps over the last 100 years. Or even the last 10 years. The same is true of satellite images of the Earth. Buildings appear and disappear as they are built and demolished. Neither maps nor satellite images are static.
