Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house.

I think it is literal. This is when we will be running for our lives during the last days and we are told to not take anything, at this point Jesus will take care of us. Thats how I see it, but we will see what others think.Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house.

Acts 10:9
On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
I guess it was typical to do prayer on the housetop in the culture?
Literal. I believe that it refers to Rome's attack on Jerusalem AD 67-70. Christians saw this coming and deserted Jerusalem, avoiding the terrible fate of the inhabitants who remained. It's a practical issue. No doubt the people of Ukraine would identify with this.Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house.

Who knows for sure except God? The 'abomination that causes desolation" was the Greek king Antiochus IV. Will there be a second, literal temple? I don't know. The church is God's temple now. For sure there have been abominations that have afflicted the Body of Christ. In many ways the church is desolate now. Compared with God's standard as revealed in His Word, the church is a basket case. Its a type of double prophesy,,,
70AD was not the real antichrist.
70 AD was a type of antichrist, like a lamb sacrifices were a type of atonement, but not the real atonement of Jesus on the Cross.
During the Tribulation will be the actual Antichrist appearing in the new Temple. A modern temple with high tech capacities. The "image of the Beast" may very well turn out to be a high powered hologram.
Many people saw a few years back a CNN reporter appear as a hologram. The technology has been advancing and made even more realistic as we post here.
"The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of
the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who
refused to worship the image to be killed." Rev 13:15

And what you quoted has been fulfilled. Maybe there is a second fulfillment. We will see.The rebuilt temple in Jerusalem will not be officially God's Temple. It may be rebuilt by religion. But, it will be standing once more.
Rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem?
He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
“From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. Dan 12:9-12
1,335 amount of days is approx half of seven years. The Tribulation will be seven years. Looks like a Temple will be set up just before the Rapture, or very quickly after. There is a prefab Temple waiting in the wings as we speak.
How the Third Temple is Being Built Today
And what you quoted has been fulfilled. Maybe there is a second fulfillment. We will see.
If all the experts on eschatology were laid end to end, they still would not reach agreement. I've studied the different schools of thought. They all have Biblical backing and their supporters are convinced. They can't all be right. We will find out soon enough. Meanwhile, I get on with my life.It was not fulfilled. No more than a lamb sacrifices fulfilled the atonement like the Cross did.
The siege of Jerusalem in 70 AD lasted not even a half year, and the Temple was torn down.
The siege of Jerusalem in the year 70 CE was the decisive event of the First Jewish–Roman War, in which the Roman army captured the city of Jerusalem and destroyed both the city and its Temple. The Roman army, led by the future Emperor Titus, with Tiberius Julius Alexander as his second-in-command, besieged and conquered the city of Jerusalem, which had been controlled by Judean rebel factions since 66 CE, following the Jerusalem riots of 66, when the Judean provisional government was formed in Jerusalem.
The siege of the city began on 14 April 70 CE, three days before the beginning of Passover that year. The Jews enjoyed some minor victories, one high point being when sappers from Adiabene managed to tunnel under the city and set bitumen fires in the tunnels, which collapsed with the Roman siege engines falling into the crevices.
The siege lasted for about five months; it ended in August 70 CE on Tisha B'Av with the burning and destruction of the Second Temple. The Romans then entered and sacked the Lower City. The Arch of Titus, celebrating the Roman sack of Jerusalem and the Temple, still stands in Rome. The conquest of the city was complete on approximately 8 September 70 CE. In contrast .. The new Temple during the Tribulation is said to last at least seven years.
Dan 12:9-12
What you claimed is no comparison to Daniel's prophesy. Daniel shows that half way of approx seven years is when the abomination will appear in the Temple.
The first half of the Tribulation will seem to be peaceful, then after all hell will break out.

There is a great deal that Christians do agree about. Some are open to discuss differences. Others just make assertions about things that are not clear and assume that everyone who disagrees is wrong. Some push a point of view that is patently incorrect. So, there is room for discussion. You assume that no one can know anything because not all agree?
Why get involved with discussion then?

Some issues are immediate and relevant. Eschatology, in my view, is not one of them.
