I think he gets a kick out of annoying people. Expressing annoyance is likely to encourage the behaviour.

I notice that AV has made more than 10,000 posts since I came back here 1 week ago. I suppose you have to resurrect old thread to do that. Unless he is a bot. How about a challenge to AV to prove that he is not a bot?

There is a problem with the Turing Test that might allow a bot like you to slip by. It is best expressed in the diagram below You might not see what I mean being a bot and all but I think others will.
