Taking or not taking this mark will be a personal choice, so for example infants and young children wont be taking this mark as they can not consciously make such a decision for themselves.

It is an interesting thought you have that the mark will be turning people into nephilim like hybrid creatures. Taking the mark may also be desirable for some people like Eve desired the fruit in Eden. Of course taking the mark lets people continue on with their lives of buying and selling.

Revelation 13 describes the mark and who gets one. Only those who worship the beast can get this mark, so they already made a conscious decision to worship the creature and not the creator.
And if you refuse to worship the creature beast, then the beast has you killed., so the only ones alive are satanic beast worshippers, I assume this means everyone who they can get their hands on authoritatively since scripture also says some flesh survives the great tribulation alive and is united with Christ when He returns..so some are hidden or protected somehow.

Jesus tells us the days of the great tribulation are deliberately shortened or NO FLESH would survive. God certainly is set out to destroy - kill all those of Satan who worship the beast, so Christ's comment must refer to the elect which agrees with Paul saying we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord do not precede those who have fallen asleep in the LORD at the second coming, so obviously there exist saved persons ALIVE on the earth on the last day when Christ returns.

That is an interesting detail.. When do they get the mark? At what age... is it mandatory for all newborns? Do kids get it at an age where they are determined to be able to decide for themselves?

They have to consciously worship the image of the beast in order to receive the mark, IMO, and infant or young child can not make that choice. How many infants or young children do you know that can make spiritual decisions? How fair would it be if God said all infants must receive the mark of the beast without making informed consent, just becuase they are born after a certain date, seems totally ridiculous ungodly idea to me..

If your name is not written in the Lamb's book of life you will end up being a satanic beast worshipper.

So we read the beast is drunk, so an orgy of blood of the saints and martyrs of Christ with many killed for their faith in Christ, they do not just starve, they are murdered. And the book of Life has your name written in there from the foundation of the earth, so these things and events have been predetermined beforehand by God what will be, will be. Personally and spiritually infants and young children are of God so have their names written in the book of life. It is possible the beast will kill all the young ones too as in a great purge, since they can not consciously worship the beast, I don't know, but certainly all through history infants and children have not been spared violent deaths. That time will be marked by terrible violence and death, like the time of Noah all over the earth.

Just as obvious (to me) is your sophistry and vain attempts to create a mystery where none exists in the classic attempt to cloud the issue. It is clear, you do severe damage to the scriptures with your worldly reasoning in lieu of a sound biblical exegesis of the relevant texts. Well has it been said that "the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid."

You are right. On a conscious level, humans have to reach a certain level of intellectual maturity before they can make such decisions...

That's not what I'm asking... What I am saying is that if the mark is a DNA changing altering system... what if parents want their infants marked? What if this mark is given to people who have not reached, or may never reach such a level of mental ability?

It might be the laws of that time do not allow for infants to be marked as they can not consciously choose to worship the beast. So regardless of parents wishes no marking is possible without the consent of those marked.
The marking begins at a singular point in time, maybe at the 3.5 year mark of the 7 year antichrist reign.
Adults can receive the mark, so if it altered DNA, they are then altered, maybe they become infertile too because of the mark so obviously no genetically marked infants are born as the beast is causing the marking only onto willing participants who have willingly chosen to worship the beast.

And maybe after marking begins, maybe no infants are born. Or if infants are born, the mark does not alter their dna only those who receive the mark have altered dna. Pure fun speculation of future events we can not know.

The seven heads were NOT about literal empires that you are trying to figure out with a secular history book. You got it all wrong. You need to get God's interpretation from Biblical history.

Children will receive the mark also.
Seen as the "small" in this verse.

Revelation 13:16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads,
