I dare you to find a single example of a scientist taking pride in willful ignorance.

No. Much more commonly, knowledge expands.

Unless you're someone who elevates ignorance as a virtue, in which case knowledge suffocates and dies, and you begin viewing discovery and progress as something to be scorned.

2 - Longevity on a website doesn't make you some kind of expert or authority on anything. It doesn't add one iota of credibility or clout to what you have to say.

I'm sorry, but I can't see how threads filled with you making post after post after post of numbers increasing by one each time is of any use. On the other hand, if I donate money to cancer research, then I can see that my money can contribute a great deal to something of use.
