Because they weren't getting to his level to even consider a signature. Hence, he had nothing to do with the process. I don't need a civics lesson.

Preska, a United States District Court judge for the Southern District, in response to a 2016 motion filed by Time Inc. and the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. Judge Preska found that the public’s right to know of court proceedings in a class-action case was strengthened by the involvement of the “now-president of the United States.”

In a 21-page finding, Judge Preska wrote that “the Trump Parties have failed to identify any interests that can overcome the common law and First Amendment presumptions of access to the four documents at issue.”

On the campaign trail and as president, Mr. Trump has made curbing immigration one of his top priorities, seeking to close the borders to people from certain Muslim-majority countries and to deport immigrants who are here illegally. The settlement serves as a reminder that as an employer he relied on illegal immigrants to get a dangerous and dirty job done.

They sued him. Huge and expensive embarrassment. He managed to get the case sealed to prevent people from knowing what he did, but now we know.

Looks like that might happen with the illegal aliens he recently hired to work his country clubs. This guy does not learn from experience, it seems.

Actually, that is what you asked me to cite, and you conveniently skipped right past that/left it out, and went off on a chase to find something that appears damaging.

Someone just likes to argue and if being right means so much to you, that you are willing to waste all this time on something like this, you can go now thinking you prevailed, makes little difference to me.

It’s the difference between may and will and whether or not they would meet the qualifications. I have friends with a kid who were denied because they were on unemployment, so still had “enough” income.

He signed it several days before the shut down was ended. By the time you wrote this I already had my back pay.

CONTRACTORS ARE NOT FEDERAL WORKERS.

They work for private companies who contract out their work to the federal government. Whether or not a contractor gets paid during a federal shutdown usually depends on how the contract budget was negotiated during the start of the particular contract or project.

Oft times these agencies have more power than they advertise, so there is no way to find a written rule that states they can get stamps in a few days, and I very much believe as you say, they can under certain circumstances.

Indeed. Most were already funded before the shut down. And many contract holders just pocketed the money that would have paid their workers during the furlough.
