It's always the 2nd Trimester that I feel like I could do this 100 more times.
Then I hit the 3rd and think "NEVER AGAIN!" Of course, it's obvious that the 'never again' feeling goes away rather fast for me, this being my 5th time doing it AGAIN! ^_^

Anyways, I'm just barely in the 2nd T now, and I have to say, this is a beautiful place.

I'm not waddling, I'm just starting to show, I'm feeling good, I'm not sick anymore (mostly), I'm starting to get over the 'fatigue' stage (though I still sleep more than I normally do when not pregnant!), I'll be feeling the baby move now (sigh! gotta just love that!) and am just generally feeling fine!

If there's one thing I've learned through my past pregnancies, it's to enjoy this stage and praise God for it! :)

So I'm just posting this happy little thread, and any of you other 2nd Trimester's are welcome to gush about how great pregnancy is in it too. And then when we hit the 3rd trimester, we can read all the new 2nd T's gushings and grumble at them under our breath... (^_^ No, just joking!... ...maybe)...

Heeheehee...
Blessings,
Molly

I'm feeling so relieved to be in my first trimester as well. The first one was terrible. I kept asking my husband, "what if I never want to try having another baby again?" I always wanted 7 children... I don't think I can handle doing this that many times, but now in the second trimester I feel like I can do this again. This is my first time, so I'm hoping the third trimester isn't too awful.

For now, I'm happy to be feeling so much better and able to get out and do things again.

I was wondering something though. From time to time I get those sore ligament tugs and such. How long does that go on? For the entire rest of pregnancy? Its not so terrible for me, I'm just curious. I read a post on another message board where a lady sounded like she had such horrible agony from her ligaments stretching.

I find that now that I feel so generally better, and I rarel feel baby movements because they are so very light I hardly ever notice... that now I've taken to worrying when I have no reason to be worrying about anything! I have no misery to keep my mind off worrying. That sounds odd.

Ooh, I didn't like the first trimester! You have to deal with all the unpleasantness without any of the perks (i.e., having people know about your condition and be excited/considerate about it).

The second trimester has its unpleasant moments at times, but all in all is a blessing compared to the first. Last night was the first time I felt sure that the little "blips" I was feeling in my tummy were the baby moving. It was exciting! Hubby wanted to feel also, but it will probably be a few more weeks before that happens.

The only thing I wish for is that it would be more obvious that I'm showing and not just fat. :p To those close to me, it's obvious that the ~20 lbs. I've gained in the past 20 weeks is forming a belly bump, but to those who don't know, I must just look fat, because they act surprised when I tell them I'm pregnant. (They need to pay more attention to my side view! :D ) I dunno, for me the thought that people could think I've put on that much weight in the past few months for no reason is a little depressing, although for the most part I keep a sense of humor about it. And I'm sure soon I'll be past that "is she just fat, or pregnant?" phase.

^_^ I know EXACTLY what you are talking about!! Isn't that stage rough on the ol' female vanity??? *grin*

It's just your body stretching out to accomodate baby. It's not that big of a deal (at least I don't think so), and it should pretty much stop by the end of the 2nd T. Every once in a while one will really zing me, but in the grand scheme of life, I don't think it's something worth complaining about too much. :)

I am finally feeling better and my green has turned to glow (according to my sister). :D

Heehee! Happy Glowing!

Blessings,
Molly

I am still very tired, just hit 21 weeks today, and I seem to be getting more and more tired. I am going to the doctor on Friday, lets see if we can find out anything there. the books all say that I should be getting more energy, the only thing I seem to be getting is hungrier, I had no appittite my first trimester into my second trimester. Let's hope that I have gained a little weight, so far I have been losing. This may be my first and last baby. It has sure taken a toll on me, just to get this far.

I've had two really really tough pregnancies, out of my five, and they are hard to get through, no doubt about it. But consider the pay off: 9 months of misery (though nothing compared to the torture's that Believers have endured for centuries!) and what do you get out of it?

A living SOUL, who will (we hope!) live for eternity with God. 9 measly months of discomfort, and the pay-off is a LIFE, a life that will bring glory to God on this earth, and in the hereafter. :)

That makes it worth it...
In fact, for me, it makes it worth doing again and again.

But, aside from that, I hope things get better for you! And happy eating, now that your appetite has arrived. I'm a scrawny thing, and that's one of my favorite parts of pregnancy and nursing--the gluttony! ^_^

As for the fatigue, it may just be the way pregnancy hormones hit you (all of my pregnancies have been different this way--some I'm more tired than others), or it may be a nutrition deal.
Are you getting good prenatals, easily absorbed, or just cheapo's? That can really make a difference--some easily absorbed B vitamins can make all the difference (certainly have for me--my vit's are AWESOME!).

Same with iron--you may be really low and experiencing a mild anemia. Some people can't handle your typical iron vit's, because the iron the companies usually use (simply because it's so cheap to manufacture) is soooooo hard on the body to absorb (and usually causes a good case of constipation--ugh!). You might want to try some really absorbable iron (blackstrap molasses is a good source of easy iron, as is red meat). And, you probably know this, but take your iron with vitamin C (eat that steak w/ a glass of orange juice). Vitamin C makes iron easy to absorb, so it's a good 'partner' for your iron.

You may have already tried all these things--if so, sorry to repeat them all to ya! Just some ideas off the top of my head! (Can you tell I read TONS of nutrition and health books and collect a multitude miscallaneous facts in my brain? Yet I can't remember that the library books were due yesterday... Sigh!) ^_^

Love,
Mol

Well I think I must have had an easy pregnancy because it was all easy until birth which was like soooooooo bad for me (worse than average) that it made up for an easy pregnancy. In the first week I asked my husband if he would be okay if I didn't have any more children. Ha! It wore off. My little guy is so cute and I hope to have a girl next time. ;)

I hated that stage where you cant fit into your normal clothes and you feel like people think you are fat instead of pregnant! That's the worst. On the other hand, I will admit one thing I liked about it. I could put on my coat, not look pregnant, and go buy cookies with icing without ANYONE looking at me with that stare "she's pregnant, and she should be eating for the baby, that isnt good for her!" :p I NEED MY COOKIES.

I am 17 weeks/2 days and I am loving the second trimester. I feel so much better. My only real symptom is that I have been having daily headaches. Must just be hormones. Went for my check up today and Dr. ruled out migranes (I could have told him that) and sinus headaches and my blood pressure is just fine. He told me to try drinking just a little caffeine and that worked really well. Hmmm. I really didn't drink much caffeine before preg. (just a cup of coffee now and then) and have cut it out completly since then.

I got to hear the heartbeat today which is great but this was the first appointment where I didn't have an ultrasound so I missed that.

Like everyone else, I am ready to start looking pregnant. I just feel like I am getting fat!

Happy 2nd everyone!
