CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.
The fact that no one else has put this (unless I missed it) is somewhat surprising. While all the other descriptions given are good and speak of something about the Lord, the only scripture we have of what it is like in heaven tells us that the overwhelming cry of the people in worship is this. To me, it is the essence of who He is. It is how our spirits will react o being in His presence.

The word "Holy" was mentioned earlier, but as a grouping with two of His other attributes, and not as it should have been, "Holy, Holy, Holy", so thank you for pointing that out
I also agree with you that as single word descriptions of God go, this is the one that is the best/closest description of His "essence".--David
