Not sure that we disagree. However, I do become concerned when we conclude that some men understand more than others. In my mind, that is like saying that some men are less sinful than others.

All sin.

I don't think we disagree either. I was just commenting on the fact that though it is true that all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, God has indeed opened up an avenue where one can find discernment and understanding. However, this lies not within his own wisdom but solely with the Holy Spirit. There is no man who possessed an advantage over his fellow, but I do believe there are men who choose implicit faith in God while others do not. Naturally, the result is these attain a higher state of wisdom.

On a side note, this is just an honest comment. It's not a loaded assertion aimed at taking sides in a debate so I hope no one takes it as such.

What does that mean? Do you not recognize that the gift of spiritual discernment is given to man from God?

I appreciate that you attribute good things to God and not man's own abilities. That is refreshing.
