  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"A quaint Scotch preacher said that the needle of the law opens the way for and carries the thread of the Gospel. I once quoted this saying in a tent-meeting, and a hearer remarked to me afterwards: "Yes, you're right; but the needle should be pulled out and not left behind." H. G. Guinness

Amen, as the apostle Paul stated in Romans 5 regarding justification apart from the law, sin through Adam and salvation through Christ.

The law is God's instructions for how to be holy, righteous, and good. We couldn't become holy, righteous, and by by obeying the law because sin nature prevented us from obeying it. The law points toward Christ because he is the one who set us free from sin so that we can obey it by faith and the leading of the Spirit.

Scripture clearly tells us the purpose of the law..

Gal 3:23But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

Our justification is not through the law.. it is totally through Christ.. Our new nature loves the law

I agree that one of its purposes is to bring us to Christ, but I was explaining why it had that purpose.
